Hello, friends! 🌟

Today, I’d like to chat about details and how they create mood and atmosphere in a drawing. Adding details is like telling little stories within a scene, drawing the viewer’s eye and encouraging them to linger on each part of the picture.

For Inktober, I could have chosen simpler houses (just look at the basic one I did on Day 1!). But instead, I’ve been seeking out buildings with personality: signs on the walls, flower pots in the windows, vines creeping up the sides, an antenna reaching toward the sky, or clothes hanging out to dry. These small touches don’t just make the drawing look interesting—they bring it to life. Every detail adds a layer of story, transforming a plain building into a place you can imagine stepping into, with hints of the people who live there.

Adding just a few extra details can make your drawing stand out. A single flower pot or a whimsical sign can transform a scene, infusing it with character and inviting viewers to connect with your art more deeply.

I hope this encourages you to add more unique details to your drawings, giving them that special touch! 🎨✨
