✏️Sketchbook Habit: Simple Steps to Sketchbook Consistency (Patreon)

Hey everyone! 🌟 Happy last day of winter! ❄️
How's everyone doing with those New Year's resolutions? 🎉 If you promised yourself you'd start drawing in a sketchbook every day this year, that's awesome! 🎨 But if you're finding it tough to stick to, don't worry, that's okay too. 😊
When we make plans for the new year, we often aim for big changes. 💪 We want to transform a lot about ourselves! 💫 We might say we'll completely quit a bad habit or totally reinvent who we are. But when we lose momentum and miss a few days, it can feel like we're failing. 😔 Then we might get discouraged and give up altogether.
This is especially challenging when trying to establish a daily drawing routine. 📝
Here's a solution: Start with simple goals. 🎯
I used to try to fill a whole page in my sketchbook every single day. 📔 Some days, it was easy. But most days, it wasn't.
For the past couple of years, I've adjusted my goal to this: "Draw in a sketchbook for 20-30 minutes every day." ⏰
Phew! That's a much more manageable goal. It still requires dedication, but now the focus is on making it a habit rather than stressing about each drawing being perfect. 🎨 It's about consistency, not creating fancy art every time.
Drawing in a sketchbook is like exercising. 🏋️♂️ You might not notice big improvements every day, but with time, you'll definitely get better. A sketchbook is where you can experiment, try new things, and improve your drawing skills. ✏️
Let's give it a try. 🚀
Set a goal to draw for 30 minutes for the next three days. If you can manage that, aim to keep it up for a whole week. 📅
