Wow, this got busy quickly! I certainly didn’t expect close to 500 of you to join over the weekend, which is just a mind boggling community. To every single one of you, thank you. It’s been really heartwarming to read all of your messages, comments, and DMs about how much Space and this channel means to you.

At the rate the Patreon is growing, we’ll be able to do so much more with our videos - so please drop your suggestions in the comments here.

Once again a huge thank you to all of you, and all you veteran members please give a warm welcome to all you fresh Astrumnauts!

Thank you for being a source of space related content that doesn't completely dumb down the information. I've found mainstream documentaries impossible to watch after finding your videos.

I don’t know if you’ve covered neutron stars, but I would love an episode about that exotic matter.

I would love to learn more about chaos theory and the Mandelbrot set. I am reading James Gleick’s book about it and it is fascinating

I became a paid member because of the sleep space podcast. It is so brilliant to have the amazing content in that format and you have done an amazing job please do more I have listened to them all at least 3 times. I have always loved your videos and have been falling asleep to the dulcet tones of the narrator’s brilliant soothing voice for about a year now. I also feel like I learn a lot and I really appreciate the amazing content and can’t stress enough how important it is in these current times of miss information and plagues of AI generated content to have channels like this creating such fantastic videos and the brilliant sleep space podcast. Thank you so much!

Mark Kim

Any amount is hugely appreciated, glad to know you're backing others too!

Allen Harris

I love your shows and especially the CGI. I wish there was a way to use screenshots of it as Xbox wallpaper.

There are many outstanding well researched and presented topics with great graphics. I particularly enjoyed the LONG compendium/compilation on mars rover, Saturn , asteroids, the sun. I know I’ve rewatched some videos too. Mind boggling concepts and research. Just explaining how much trouble to calculate a day on a gas giant -I’d never thought about that complexity. Way to go on the campaign and I like that there are reasonable tiers to help out the channel. Thanks for all your hard work.

Yuri Paterson-Olenich

Love the channel and great to see the Patreon membership growing. I enjoyed the latest video about Dune. 1 question though. I saw this on YouTube and looked for the ad-free version here. I couldn’t find it. Am I missing something? Thanks

RadiAntoine

Alex (and team Astrum), I’m a little embarrassed to admit that because I never saw your face before this video I began to wonder if your channel was just the most clever AI channel I’d ever seen. Yet the content was so good and compelling that I just kept on watching anyway. Seeing you and your team and your earnest message to us thankfully dispelled that notion and you have my direct support for the foreseeable future. Your content and team are truly amazing!

C. J. Hatter

The best YouTube content, presenter, and staff, bar none. If Alex at Astrum says it, I completely trust that it has been properly researched, and presented, with no agenda other than scientific truth.

Alex

Here as promised. I had to wait until payday. Thank you so much Alex/Astrum.

Bro! I'm still trying to finish the videos on Patreon. But any video on exo planets and moons would be dope

STUART ISAACSON, DO

Hey, I think you should just make cat videos. Enough with the space stuff. Nobody cares about black holes and planets with stupid names. I'm still paying off student loans and meanwhile people are wasting millions and millions of dollars to make little cars that drive in circles on some barren planet. I'm tired of being told a blurry red blob is a picture of the ancient universe. There's no way - how do I know what it is? It could be a picture of a carpet stain. People are really stupid to fall for that. Like the moon "landing." That was so obviously filmed on some backlot in Hollywood. What's the point in making videos about places we'll never ever get to? Like, this planet is a million light years away. First, how do I know that's correct? Are we supposed to simply accept that number because some "expert" said so. And if it's really that far away then thinking about is pointless. On the other hand, cat videos are not only fun to watch but totally relevant. Lots of people have cats - they could learn something, too, that actually is practical. I even had a cat. I'm not sure where it is now, but anyway, a good cat video could have helped me prevent it from wandering off. One thing's for sure - it's not on Proxima B or whatever it's called. I don't want to hear about habitable zones anymore either. Any place can be a habitable zone. It's just a ruse to make viewers think that aliens live there in some utopia and one day they'll come to save us. The only real habitable zone is at the Walmart down the block from me. That's why YouTube cat videos are important. It grounds people to a friendly reality. You never hear cats talk about the Fermi Paradox. You know why? Because it doesn't mean anything. Cats want to know important things - like where the next bowl of Fancy Feast cat food is - not some esoteric nonsense about where the aliens are. In fact, they know if the aliens do show up they're not bringing little toy mice to play with. So who cares. In fact, as a paid member, I should point out that it's much easier and cost-effective to use my money to make exciting and humorous cat videos! Like the one where the cat keeps chasing the laser pointer image until it falls into the bathtub. That's the kind of quality productions we all really want. Who cares what Venus looks like? I'm never going there. STOP I'm kidding. You guys do an amazing job! I'm happy to help sponsor you. Keep up the great work.

Oh my goodness, this has had the whole Astrum team in a fit of giggles. Well played. I'm going to put this as a poll on the community tab

Your voice together with the visualizations is soothing, especially when sometimes it's scary to realize how small we are in the vast universe..
