Excellent video as always. I recently read James Gleick’s excellent book Chaos which discusses turbulence and uncertainty so my bet is on that

Wonderful subject, wonderful video as always!

Crystal clear exposition. Thanks. What about possible doppler effects from something analogous to our sun's coronal mass ejections but on an even larger scale? If Betelgeuse "bubbles," maybe it "surges" with ejections coming towards us (blue), than magnetic fields and gravity (which would be enormous on such a huge star) pulls the plasma back (red). Maybe it is even more "chaotic" than now imagined.
