Reclining 'Rilla (Patreon)

What can I say. I just.... wanted to draw a gorilla! And I also had recently been inspired by a more contrast-focused piece that I really liked from an artist I follow. So wanted to try to my own hand at it. I can't mimic their approach or style, as at least in part, I lack the brushes for bigger more angular strokes like they did, but I decided to just sort of mess about with a traditional charcoal/pencil drawing feel. It was fun to just be a bit more loose on it in that sense! I also of course kept the base linework for those that don't prefer the experiment with shading. I do like the clean lines after all myself ^^.
