I’m so sorry that you are struggling so much , some difficult realizations and considerations.

Making indie comics is such a struggle. Balancing the joy and therapeutic aspects of making comics with the realities and challenges of life is very hard. Some of us have found at least temporary solutions that are not great, but at least doable, if only for the foreseeable future. Dealing with some life-changing health issues myself, I do believe taking care of oneself is the most important, and yet for some of us, that includes making (some) art, or we would not be ourselves, as you put it. As a freelance illustrator by day, I have some of that built into my “job”, and so my situation is different from yours… . Perhaps less of one, more of the other, can make things less crushing. I do hope you’ll find a way that you can live with. For what it’s worth, my weeks have been better with your comics in them.
