Couldn't make the live stream, but just watched it. Loved everything, but had an interesting thought. A potential through line for Sorcerers, Wizards, and Warlocks is each have a unique Mana pool. Sorcerers - Sorcerous Mana, Wizards - School Mana, and Warlocks - Soul Mana. How each differ would be on what you can spend the Mana on and how to recover (besides long rest). Sorcerous Mana for "metamagic" and can convert between Sorcerous Mana and Mana with an unfavorable 2 for 1. Warlock Soul Mana for Pact Spells only (maybe allow Warlock to choose some known spells to count as Pact Spells?), quick recovery by sacrificing health and a subclass unique way (when creature dies or cleanse "consume" condition). Wizard's School Mana for specific school spells, and recovers after Short rest, emphasizing being really good at school spells.

I prefer a single point pool for Monks. Building on having different traditions and improving your self-control over time I lean heavily toward "stances" as a way to reward offensive/defensive/mobility/debuffer playstyles. For example, if you take an offensive ki action then your next one is better somehow, same for defensive ones and utility actions are wildcards that let you switch from one stance to another without penalties, etc. Subclasses can focus on and expand a couple stances and add new ones (pressure point stance, elemental stances, etc), specialized vs holistic. Monks need to be comboy, flurry of blowsy.

I agree with the Paladin devotion being to something more primal and ancient than gods, they represent concepts like faith itself, conquest, retribution, etc. If there are gods aligned with that in the setting that is cool but if they commune with those gods then what is the difference with a cleric? It would be so cool for a 'truth' paladin to eventually become a rival for a 'truth' god because they both borrow from the same concept but have small differences in interpretation or there is friction applying those primal concepts to a particular event and that broke their relationship (between the god and the paladin). So basically, that paladin is losing faith in their god but not devotion to the concept so they are ok, as opposed to the cleric who can maybe lose conviction on the concept but still have faith on the god and that keeps them also balanced in their own way.

Arcane Focus is so bleh in DnD, you just take them from granted as base to all casters. Warlock would be a great opportunity to do something about that, it makes sense for a physical representation of their pact to be very important to them (their chain, their book, their ethereal weapon, etc). Their pact means their Patron wants something from them so maybe enforce it in some way like a compulsion, pain if you do the opposite of that compulsion. Your Patron could have a 'favored foe' kind of thing and grant you extra boons when you are going after them. I feel most of these step on the cleric and paladin's toes but aren't they really the same just with a more defined relationship with their font of power? Tough
