"Hoping for that Ocean

A Love worthy to be wished

Ready, he was to plunge

But died alone at the beach” - Julio Leote

A few years ago I performed this artwork as a catharsis process.

I was heartbroken, and I needed to heal myself... and this artwork was part of that healing process.

In that time I didn't realize but, it ended up being one of my favorite artworks that I did.

And I believe that some of you do not know this artwork...

So, as today is Mermaid Day, I thought it would be interesting to revisit this artwork and share with you this "remastered" version hehe.

Hope you like it!

It’s so sad... and yet the colors are beautiful...

Oh wow but it is much more fascinating even than Piccaso Pablo's "blue period" paintings !!!! 💙💙💙💙

This is SUPER POWERFUL! WOW! It's EXTREMELY well-illustrated and colored -- that water is INCREDIBLE!! All the tones you selected work so perfectly! It's so beautiful, and it's also a very difficult illustration to look at because it's very brutal and your heart breaks for this poor handsome merman. This piece has SO MANY deep and insightful layers to it, and it really forces us to consider all of the implications in a very direct and undeniable manner. Yeah -- VERY POWERFUL -- my friend, this is a MASTERPIECE! BRAVO!!!! Your breathtaking work always impresses me SO MUCH!!! XOXOX 👏👏👏💔❤️💔❤️💔❤️
