Here's the latest page of Kaijuu Fighter Tetsuko 1, "Giants in the Earth".

This is the page I'd intended to post the last few days of January; but I hated the way the fourth panel was turning out, so I scrapped it and redrew it from scratch. Much happier with this version. (No, I didn't keep a copy of the previous version. Some things are better left unseen - trust me!)

I don't think I've drawn this much water in one page before. I have come to hate drawing splashing water...

Great art again as usual, David. As I've said, I think this storyline is a bit silly, but silliness is an integral part of superhero comics in general. Besides, Tetsuko has really been from jump an inherently light hearted comic that clearly doesn't want to take itself too seriously-without being a flat out satire, of course. It's Tetsuko being Tetsuko. As I've said-I like Tetsuko and Dr. Gannon as characters-although of course if I was writing them, the book would be far more serious. Which is why it's probably for the best YOU'RE writing it...............lol That being said-I wanted Tetsuko to live on the same "Earth" as Starburst. It's an Earth with a backstory of superheroes and superbeings where she'd fit right in. And the vast difference in tone btw Tetsuko and Starburst as comics would actually be a positive as a strong universe needs to be able to tell all kinds of stories with all kinds of characters. After all, Deadpool and The Punisher both live on Marvel-Earth with Thor and the X-men-and Marvel's never had a problem most of the time making these very different storylines jibe in their larger universe. Just a thought for the future. Again-great art!
