Devlog #4 (Patreon)

Ahoy ahoy, dear FWBs. Hope all of you had a fantastic weekend so far. Yes, it's yet time again to listen, or rather read, about the game's development as well as stuff I've been up to.

I was thinking about how I could get some structure into the devlogs. I will begin every devlog from now on with sharing how the game did, performance wise. And I'm happy to tell you, this weekend has been the most successful so far in terms of views and downloads. I will mostly use itch.io's analytics unless there is something amazing going on on other platforms. This should give you an idea about the current attention the game gets. I find this extra ordinarily exciting as you can imagine, and I hope you will too since you're an integral part of the development and we all want Summer to be successful.

Let's begin with the raw numbers from last week, followed by the current ones:

As you can see, it's not exactly a gold mine, haha. But exposure is even more important on itch.io for now. And it's doing rather well in that regard. It actually has had it's best day yesterday, even surpassing launch day. And it remains strong today as well (it's not even over yet), as you can see here:

So yeah, I think we can safely assume the update was successful in drawing in some more attention. Happy noises.

I've been busy with mostly bug fixing as well as promotional work this weekend. A patched version will be uploaded either tonight or tomorrow sometime during the day. I also created four slightly different versions of the new character "Milly", that will be introduced in the next release. I will post a little teaser down below. There's going to be a poll this upcoming week on her appearance. Gonna be fun. Tomorrow (Monday, June 10th 2024) I will begin to fully work on the next update. So, there isn't much to tell as of yet but I'm sure I will have some juicy new details and teasers to share on the next devlog.

I won't stress your eyes too much this time. Let's keep it rather short until there is more stuff to share.
