Up next we will be doing different dialogue conditions for Valerica. There will be the original release which contains what I call Time Travel Idles (You can see them named that in the CK for the quests). We are still in the process of writing the lines and we will work on the CK entry after I am done with Lyra. Will also be hopefully done with the Custom Mount.

As a reminder, the time travel idles are important as they are used for the Relationship Quiz for those that want to Romance Valerica.

Where Serana is Sassy, Valerica is Judging. I will also be adding disappointed idles to the interiors of some locations (Dragonsreach, the Blue Palace and the Palace of Kings). She hears X but when seeing it she sees Y.

In the next update I will be adding more idles. As an example, here are the 55 new lines for Whiterun!

“So this is Whiterun. I expected a capital, but it’s essentially just a very loud hill with a fence. I hope the tavern has actual wine.”

“Whiterun is almost charming. In a fragile, easily-burned sort of way. One stray spark and this entire 'metropolis' becomes a signal fire.”

“Open walls, constant traffic... Whiterun makes a bold choice. It’s as if they’re inviting the end of the world to just walk right in.”

“I see they favor simplicity in Whiterun. Aggressively so. It takes dedication to build a city out of nothing but 'adequate' lumber.”

“Whiterun has potential. Untapped, but present. Mostly as a controlled experiment in how many mortals can live in one spot without a plague.”

“These Whiterun guards look very confident for people standing this close to danger. Or perhaps they just haven't looked at their armor.”

“Whiterun's security relies heavily on routine. That rarely ends well. I’ve seen more tactical awareness from a group of unmotivated draugr.”

“The armor is solid, but the awareness is... lacking. I walked past that guard three times; I'm fairly certain he’s hibernating standing up.”

“If Whiterun survives, it won’t be because of vigilance. It will be because the local bandits felt sorry for anyone wearing those helmets.”

“In Whiterun, confidence is clearly easier than competence. It certainly costs less than actually training your recruits to do their jobs.”

“Dragonsreach has presence. Finally, something worth noticing. It’s nice to see someone finally invested in a decent ceiling height.”

“A throne in Dragonsreach built to face the sky... they expect trouble. Or the Jarl just enjoys watching the weather during meetings.”

“At least someone in Dragonsreach plans ahead. Building a dragon trap in your living room is the height of 'expecting the worst.'”

“Power tends to gather in places like Dragonsreach. Predictable. It’s also much easier to defend a porch when you're three hundred feet up.”

“If I were to rule this city, I’d start at Dragonsreach. Though I would do something about the decor. It’s a bit 'early-era barn chic.'”

“The Whiterun market is so much noise and so little substance. I’ve heard better arguments from a pack of wolves fighting over a bone.”

“They haggle in this market as if it matters. Do they truly believe those three septims will protect them when a dragon visits for lunch?”

“I’ve seen cities fall over less than a Whiterun market dispute. Usually because someone didn't get the correct discount on goat cheese.”

“Mortals in the market place great importance on small exchanges. It’s adorable. They spend their limited hours arguing over a leek.”

“This market has a certain energy. I almost remember enjoying that before I spent a few centuries talking to Soul Cairn misfits.”

“People live their entire lives in Whiterun unaware of how easily it could end. I should probably tell them, but I don't want to be rude.”

“There’s something peaceful about Whiterun. Briefly. Until someone starts screaming about a lost sweetroll or a lack of decent firewood.”

“I used to understand this kind of Whiterun life. It involved significantly fewer bats and much more concern for whether the laundry was dry.”

“It’s almost enough to make one forget the world beyond Whiterun's walls. Ignorance must be cozy. Like a blanket made of bad choices.”

“Almost. Then I remember I’m a high-born vampire and most of Whiterun considers a 'gourmet meal' to be a boiled potato with salt.”

“Whiterun relies on this soil more than they realize. If the cabbages fail, this city will be eating its own boots within a fortnight.”

“Simple lives on the Whiterun farms. The worst thing that happens is a wolf or a mudcrab. It’s almost refreshing compared to my family.”

“At least the Whiterun stables follow a natural order. Plants grow, horses graze, and nobody is trying to sacrifice a daughter to a prophecy.”

“I’ll admit, the farms are the most sensible part of Whiterun. Dirt is honest. People, on the other hand, are walking piles of complications.”

“If Whiterun fails, these fields will matter most. You can’t hide behind a stone wall if your stomach is louder than the guards.”

“The warriors in Jorrvaskr... some traditions never change. It smells of wet dog and bruised egos in there. I’ll stay out here, thanks.”

“Strength is valued in Jorrvaskr. Refinement... less so. I imagine their tactical meetings consist of hitting things until they stop moving.”

“Jorrvaskr reminds me of simpler times. Times when 'diplomacy' meant hitting someone with a shield until they finally agreed with you.”

“I suspect subtlety is not a Jorrvaskr strength. They seem like the type of people who would try to pick a lock by shouting at it loudly.”

“Still, the Companions would be useful in a crisis. Provided the crisis can be solved by hairy men swinging large pieces of metal.”

“The Bannered Mare explains the noise. A room full of people drinking fermented honey and pretending they can sing. A sensory nightmare.”

“The Bannered Mare will become tedious quickly. How many times must we hear 'Ragnar the Red' before someone finally loses their patience?”

“Alcohol and poor decisions in the Bannered Mare. A timeless pairing. I’ve seen more dignity in a necromancer’s basement than in that corner.”

“I’ll remain outside the Bannered Mare. Quietly. If I wanted senseless moaning, I’d go back to the Soul Cairn. It’s actually quieter there.”

“If anything goes wrong in Whiterun, it will start at the Mare. Usually with a spilled drink and someone taking offense to a chair’s look.”

“In Whiterun, there’s always one who believes they are important. Usually, it’s the one wearing the most expensive, ugliest outfit.”

“Confidence without merit is a Whiterun affliction. If ego were gold, that man could buy the Empire. Too bad it’s just hot air and posture.”

“I can sense arrogance from across the city. It’s a specific scent. Like old cheese mixed with an unearned sense of accomplishment.”

“Some people in Whiterun invite disappointment. Walking around like you own the clouds is a good way to trip over a very humble rock.”

“I would avoid that man if I were you. I might be tempted to turn his 'Cloud District' ambitions into a very stylish pile of grey ash.”

“Let me know when something worth my attention happens in Whiterun. Or at least when the scenery changes to something that isn't a crate.”

“I suppose we’re waiting in Whiterun. I’ve spent centuries in a magical prison, but five minutes of you staring at a wall is still dull.”

“I’ve endured worse uses of time than standing in Whiterun. But not many. Are we planning a strategy, or are you just daydreaming?”

“Do try not to attract attention in Whiterun. You have a habit of making people talk to us, and I’ve reached my social quota for the year.”

“I will tolerate standing here in Whiterun. Briefly. If you don't move soon, I’m going to start rearranging the local furniture with my mind.”

“If Whiterun collapses, I will not be surprised. Slightly disappointed, perhaps. Mostly because I'd have to find a new place for snacks.”

“I’ve seen villages with better planning than Whiterun. Built by goblins. At least they understood the importance of a consistent aesthetic.”

“I’m beginning to understand why you keep moving through Whiterun. If I lived here permanently, I’d probably start a cult for excitement.”

“If a dragon appears in Whiterun, I’m leaving you to explain it. I’ll be at the top of the stairs watching with a judgmental expression.”

“Whiterun feels important. I’m still deciding why. Maybe it’s the way the wind whistles through the gaps in their questionable masonry.”

It would be cool to see a superior Skeleton horse! Like a unicorn! With crimson dripping bones. The horse can also regrow skin to blend in on Nirn. Now Thats a steed worthy of her!

Kaidan

It HAS to be a unicorn! Think about it. She’s been around a while and unicorns live a long time too. The bond would be so adorably strong!

Kaidan

Okie!
