A Royal Family Feud (And Why the Wait?) (Patreon)

I’ve always had a soft spot for the missable moments. Those rare, reactive scenes that breathe life into a world. There is something so satisfying about dialogue that feels fresh every time you play, which is why I’ve built a logic-driven argument for our favorite vampire duo.

Skyrim is honestly filled with them. For example, after you free Serana and before you visit Harkon you can miss some dialogue with Isran. Also some people may dislike my sense of humor.

If you follow Harkon into the study after your transformation to trigger the Bloodstone Chalice quest, you’re going to witness a side of the Volkihar family that isn't in the history books.

Also all of this is done in basically four voices currently. Harkon Vanilla, Harkon Unbound, Serana Vanilla, and Sinister Serana. Super Fun!

The Mystery of the Empty Chalice

One thing that always bothered me: Why wasn't the chalice already filled? Why the awkward wait? Well, I’ve finally written the answer into the scene.

It turns out, centuries of isolation haven't done much for Serana’s patience or Harkon's ability to handle a "hangry" daughter.

Why the Hangry? If you are married, have a daughter or a god daughter you know the feeling.

What’s New?

Dynamic Bickering: I’ve implemented a randomizer for their dialogue. Depending on the "roll," Harkon will mutter different petty insults under his breath, and Serana will shut him down with a variety of biting retorts.

The "Hangry" Factor: Expect to see the Lord of Volkihar himself questioning his life choices while Serana prioritizes her stomach over his grand prophecies.

Authentic Friction: No more standing around in silence. The wait for the chalice is now filled with the kind of dry wit and aristocratic salt that only a ancient family grudge can produce. Now for some food for your ears :)
