Serana Married - Sofie and Lucia adopted, What would it be like? (Patreon)

Now that Sinister Serana DAO is released my brain is also released and relieved. I originally planned the release for the Fourth of July weekend but I decided to move it up due to peer/punk pressure. I gave in. They said release it sooner to start getting more funding for Kerstyn. Gives it time to build before I have to dash for the remaining dollar amount as we are currently 3,600 in and I still have more lines to add T-T.

But with that I want to start the writing for the marriage stuff for the Volkihar family. But I need some assistance regarding Sofie and Lucia.

How do you think the family would be if the Player married Serana and adopted Sofie and Lucia.

What would the family be like?

While I am brainstorming I have Kerstyn Voices Expansions to work on as well as some dialogue mods for folks that have requested lines from PeachyNInja and Kerstyn. The things i do for my friends.

Why don't lean into the regal, noble side of Serana? Like, she tries to teach Sofie and Lucia how to act and talk like nobles do, is stern with them but actually has a soft spot for them.

One key thing is Fura, Hestla, and Modhna are also servants of Molag. Since they are alive they too must be Daughters of Coldharbour

So, Serana is "uncured"? Is the player a vampire? I imagine vampires adopting and letting their kids grow to a certain age, maybe even letting them choose not to "take the blood" or commit to Molag Bal... I remember you pointing out that Serana made her choice...

given this is for the Sinister side of Serana I'd def lean into nobility approach so she def would have her work cut out for her with Sofie and Lucia two children who both come from the streets begging, pleading, doing whatever they can too survive and see tomorrow. Growing up in those kinds of conditions will def take a toll on you mentally, and emotionally. So getting them to a point where they recognize themselves as part of royalty far above their previous station will def be a challenge. But overtime they will overcome this change of pace and adapt as they both have shown from their time in their respective cities they are the embodiment of you either adapt or you perish. So would be kinda like Dagny (Balgruuf's daughter) except they would act with a bit more decorum and not like a spoiled brat.

How would you prepare you kids to bind themselves to Molag Bal? It might be not much different than other religions' confirmation and coming-of-age ceremonies... Trying to get my head around the idea: "I am a vampire, I like being a vampire, I love my kids and I want them to be vampires." Now replace word vampire with serial killer...

But she's a daughter of Cold Harbor? Therefore her powers come from Molag Bal? Would she want her "kids" to enjoy her status? She may not worship, but she certainly supports Molag Bal every time she uses her powers and prestige. It's kinda an interesting dynamic. I hate slavery but I buy all kinds of stuff made by companies the enslave people, therefore I support slavery. Is she smart enough to acknowledge this? Or is she like me and doesn't want to think about it?

Lucia (being very close with her late mother) would probably become more rebellious with Serena and force the Draginborn to mediate to keep the peace.

I gave her a more sinister view over Molag. She pretty much out grew molag bal. They got the power and he literally has no sway. Molag believes the strong rule over the weak. I will probably have her views towards molag shift. First she will be a cultist. After library she loses faith. After the house of Horrors she cant contain how embarrassing molag is now.

In a Dawnguard-sided playthrough, my character was turned by Serana after conclusion of the questline and the SDA conversation about immortality and it meaning little without someone to share it with. We adopted Lucia and the "parental reasoning" was she would be given a choice when she became of age on whether to become a vampire or not. One thing I'd love to see is recognition by Serana/child of the Bloodchill Manor vampire doll. It's adorable.
