To give you a taste of the festive chaos we’re putting together, check out the script/skit breakdown below while Kerstyn's audio plays.
Stage 0
Player: You’ve been quiet. Even for someone who spent centuries locked in a stone sarcophagus.
Serana: Have I?
Player: You’re hovering near the shadows more than usual. And you haven't complained about the weather in three hours.
Serana: A tragic loss for our scintillating conversations, I'm sure.
Player: What’s eating at you? And don't say "nothing."
Serana: ...
Serana: Look at the sky. It’s Evening Star.
Player: Winter is setting in. So what?
Serana: The twentieth is approaching.
Player: That date makes your pulse jump. Well... if you had one.
Serana: Don't joke about that date. Ever.
Stage 10
Player: Tell me what the twentieth means.
Serana: It’s the day mortals are foolish enough to reach out to the Prince of Domination. Molag Bal’s summoning day.
Player: Harkon knew.
Serana: He practically lived by it. He didn't just want power; he wanted an audience.
Player: That was the night.
Serana: The altar. The blood. The screams. Everything that made me... this.
Player: Serana...
Serana: I survived his "gift." Barely. My mother called it a blessing. My father called it destiny. I just remember the cold. A cold deeper than any blizzard in Skyrim.
Player: And then Saturalia comes right after.
Serana: Five days later. Everyone singing about light, life, and rebirth. Drinking spiced wine while I’m still hearing echoes of Daedric whispers in the dark. It’s nauseating.
Stage 20
Player: Then we take the day back.
Serana: You can't just "take back" trauma with some roasted pheasant and festive wreaths.
Player: Not erase it. Bleed it dry of its power. We put something better right over top of it.
Serana: ...
Serana: You sound dangerously confident.
Player: Spend the twenty-fifth by the hearth with me. Lock the door. Let the rest of the province freeze outside.
Serana: Just you, a fire, and no screaming cultists?
Player: Exactly.
Serana: You really don't give up, do you?
Player: Not on you.
Serana: ...Careful, Darkling. Keep talking like that and I might actually believe you.
Stage 30
Player: What does an ancient vampire princess actually want for a holiday?
Serana: An entire bottle of spiced Cyrodilic brandy, a roaring fire that won't try to immolate me, and quiet. Absolute quiet.
Player: No ancient crypts? No Draugr rattling in the corner?
Serana: Shockingly, no. A plush velvet chair, a heavy fur blanket, and someone decent to keep me warm.
Player: Someone decent, huh?
Serana: Don't fish for compliments. It’s unseemly.
Player: I could wear the Saturalia hat. The one with the little bell.
Serana: If you put that ridiculous thing on, I will use vampiric grip to throw you out the nearest window.
Player: You'd miss me.
Serana: The draft would be more polite.
Stage 40
Player: Look up.
Serana: What did you… by the blood, Darkling.
Player: Snowberries. Placed with pinpoint tactical precision right above the entryway.
Serana: That is an ambush. Highly dishonorable.
Player: Tradition dictates the terms of engagement.
Serana: You think a sprig of dried berries gives you leverage over a Daughter of Coldharbour?
Player: Terrified?
Serana: Of you? Never. Of what happens if I let my guard down around you?
Player: Serana...
Serana: ...Take one step closer and find out.
Stage 50
Player: It's the twentieth.
Serana: I know.
Player: You're shivering.
Serana: It’s phantom cold. My skin doesn't feel it, but my bones remember.
Serana: ...Your hands are always so unreasonably warm.
Player: Living perk. I’m not leaving the room today.
Serana: You don't have to watch me brood.
Player: I'm not watching you brood. I'm keeping the dark away.
Serana: ...Stay. Just like this.
Stage 60
Player: Happy Saturalia, Serana.
Serana: Keep your voice down. The sun isn't even fully up yet.
Player: Open your gift.
Serana: (Unwrapping a silver-bound journal) This is such a great journal.
Player: Thought you deserved something so you can track your present and future.
Serana: ...
Player: Serana? Are those tears?
Serana: Don't be ridiculous. Vampires don't cry. It's just the ash from the fire.
Player: Right. The fire.
Serana: Shut up and take yours.
Player: To Be Determined
Serana: It took three different merchants and a very subtle threat of violence to forge. If you lose it in some ruin, I’m locking you out in the snow.
Sexlab / Flower Girls / Ostim Patch / Message
Player: The snowberries are still hanging up there.
Serana: I noticed.
Player: Going to threaten to feed me to gargoyles again?
Serana: No. I think... I’ve made my peace with that particular tradition.
Player: Then come here.
Serana: Happy Saturalia, my idiot hero. Now kiss me before the sun comes up.
