Here it is, episode 6 finally. Between work, issues, and random problems... the delays on this were endless. But I'm retired from the full time job now, so this shouldn't be a problem anymore.

I did not build a compressed version of this yet. I'll work on that in the second week of February when I am back from cruise (if enough people ask for it). Meanwhile, the android build is rather big so hopefully it will work for most of you with modern devices.

Note: As I always say on these releases, I do not technically support android. I only build it because the option is there and it successfully builds. If you have issues, you're better off asking other android users. (I do not own an android to fully test it). Also, if you're downloading from your android device, it might be better to copy the link then paste it in your browser.

Bitdefender blocked my download. They gave this as the reason:"We blocked this dangerous page for your protection: https://mega.nz/secureboot.js?r=1769123287 Threat name: Trojan.GenericFCA.Script.35539 Dangerous pages attempt to install software that can harm the device, gather personal information or operate without your consent" Who can know where this is coming from. Generic trojans often give false positives. I'll try to do some research on this.

Here's what I found: Key Aspects of Trojan.GenericFCA.Script.35539: Behavior: It is designed to act as a Trojan horse, meaning it appears useful but performs malicious activity in the background. Actionable Threats: This type of malware can, according to FortiGuard Labs, initiate remote access, steal data, install additional malware, and monitor user activity. Detection: "Generic" indicates that security software identified it based on behavior rather than a specific, unique signature, often flagging it in script-based formats. Don't know how helpful that is, or whether the problem is in the program or MEGA scripts. Perhaps you can set up an alternate download site so I can try it and see if it works.

Quick search for "false positive trojan mega.nz" seems that a lot of early detection software just flags the entire site period on the fact that it's used for file sharing. Personally, I've been using mega for years, including their sync app, without a single issue I can identify. No virus, PII, PCI, or related. After using AVG for years, it too turned into a bloated piece of shit like the other big names, so I gave up and switched to just Defender and Nord VPN. Any files I don't trust, I'll upload to virustotal.com and get a balanced readout of the threat level, sometimes that shows false positives as well. Stay vigilant, and proceed with the level of comfort you can accept. EDIT: Ran defender on the resulting zip and found no issues myself.

It is very common to get a false-positive on renpy games. It won't hurt your PC if you're downloading it from any of my sites (Patreon, SS, or itch). I get that mess a lot from malwarebytes when I open up renpy games.

It's not so much that I think it's actually infected, it's that Bitdefender is blocking me from downloading the file, and I have no other place to get it. I suppose I'll have to trick my security program into letting me access it.

Bit is a pain in the ass. But I know there is a way to bypass it. I don't use it because I use MalwareBytes which is loads better imo. MawlwareBytes will give me a warning message on renpy games now, but doesn't block it. Occasionally, Windows will give that stupid blue screen window which you can just tell it to run anyway. I'm going to try updating my Renpy version before I start on the Serenity update. Maybe there this has been addressed since the version I have is rather old. It is scary to update Renpy in the middle of development because you just don't know what it will break. But, my game is pretty simple... not made overcomplicated by fancy stuff so I'm hoping it won't be an issue.

Finished the update and I have to say, those new girls are great. Aury is a keeper also. If only I could get to a beach on Pantheria, I could live a happy man. I see good things with Echo in the future also. P.S. Puppy's interaction was amusing.

Over the past couple of weeks Mega.nz has had issues loading download pages even for folks with paid "Pro" accounts. This could mean they are having server issues that need attention but the trojan issue I have not had with either MS anti-virus security program or my anti-malware program. My anti-malware program is very picky to boot.

I cannot download the files for the PC, I tried to download it it a few days ago, but was blocked by bitdefender due to supposed Trojan, I tried again today and it loads mega (I have an account) but there is no dowload button showing, only an upload tp mega is there, I am not at all sure what is going on here tbh.

I do know that the MEGA download page changed its appearance (confused me at first also). The download button is no longer on the bottom of the page, but in the top right corner. You should see a little down arrow icon there. If still having issues, I'll be uploading to my itch page here in a bit. Might be easier to download it from there. I will be looking into better options to replace MEGA if people continue to have issues. If I could afford the bandwidth, I'd share files under my personal domain, but that just isn't feasible at this time.

Thank you for the help, Why would MEGA swap a easy to see big red download button, with a tiny hard to find arrow button at the top, it makes no sense at all. lol.

Been so long since I finished 0.8 I'm actually starting a fresh game to catch my brain up. Kinda crossed over in my head with Serenity so can't recall which is which.

Just finished the chapter. Had things to do which slowed me down, but found it great. Just one question: You honestly think someone is going to say NO to CAMMIE? A babe that sexy? Sheesh! Made me wish I could jump in the screen there and take her from the protagonist. But, oh well. Ok. Rant over. Keep up the good work!
