Hello my friends and happy weekend :)

Just thought I'd drop a quick devlog to keep you all up to date on where we are on the next LH release as well as a brief personal log.

Last Human (Episode 7): I am getting very close to completing rendering. There are 3 more nsfw scenes with animations to do (yes, 3). So those will usually take me a bit of time. We are definitely still looking at a release before the end of this month, so no worries. After renders and animations are completed, I have a list of reported grammar/spelling issues to search and replace, and one or two continuity issues to resolve. These are minor things that I can fix in an hour or so before doing my own final playthrough to check for any other issues. So for those who keep asking when is the next update - before the end of June. That is the best answer I can give because I have no idea what hardships will come up along the way. My hope is that I can complete it before the last week of the month, but we'll see how it all plays out.

Personal: Nothing feels as good as not having to answer to a boss or be tied up doing IT support for 8 to 12 hours per day while also trying to build a game. Retirement allowed me to pay off my house and vehicles, so I won't lose those. But money is actually starting to get tight for us. The struggle is real, folks. And I don't make much money doing this game stuff yet. I'm doing my best to improve and try to get updates out more frequently but getting the word out is a challenge (and asking people to subscribe and support is not my favorite thing to do). Obviously, I didn't start this just to make money. I started because I love it. I'm a creative person at heart and this is a great outlet for that. But honestly? I need to make more to be able to keep going or I may end up having to put this back as a side project and find some work somewhere so I can pay my bills. If that happens, updates are really going to slow down again. I don't want that and I know at least my current followers don't either. You can help by spreading the word... get friends to give my VNs a try. Every tier counts for me, that includes the free tier. I love ALL of my followers equally. I love you guys so much that I am one of the few developers who basically does a beta to public release in one week... because I want you all to get the game as quickly as possible. I've had some dev friends tell me that I need to go to at least 2 weeks for my release periods... others even do a month or longer. I don't care for long waits myself so I can't expect my lower tier and free followers to wait.

Anyway, I just want you to know... if you have considered supporting me by subbing on one of the paid tiers, I hope you'll consider it at least for the first month. For this next Last Human release, I plan to turn on one of the discount options on Patreon where you can get the first month half off or something like that (for $5 and $10 tiers). If you try it at a discount and decide you can't afford longer, or you don't really want to, at least you helped me (a lot). And I can't ask for anything more than that. I am proud to say that I have some of the longest running supporters... those of you who have been subbed nearly since I first started! I mean, that is amazing. If I could bring Camilla to life and send her to you for a visit, I would! And so many of you that have been subbed for quite a while now and still hanging in there with me. Thank you all so much. Truly.

I guess I'm just trying to let you know that I am at a point where I need to make more than I am making in order to keep going. Guys, I don't want to get another job... I have a job... this one. I work for you. I work on these games every single day, and sometimes nights too. I put a lot of effort into this stuff and I am always trying to find ways to improved. I recently added some really great tools to HS2 Studio thanks to a modder/gamedev that goes by Pandarinka. I subbed to him for 9 bucks per month because his tools help me improve. So yeah, a lot of what I make goes back into the work I am doing.

To my current subscribers - you can always DM me in Discord. I may not answer you immediately, but I DO ANSWER. If you have questions or requests, hit me up. If you're on one of my upper tiers ($10 and above) you can request things like renders or even animations. Some do already. I don't get them done really fast, but I do put your requests on my task list and work on it when I can. First priority though is always the update itself.

That's all I have for now. Follow me, sub if you can, and keep in touch!

Love you all, ...Fire

Do not worry too much. We are here for you. May the money issue resolve itself in your favor. And thanks for the update.

Glad to hear the progress! Sorry to hear about the financial side, I know it's rough but your Fire-verse as I've been calling it is one of the ones I suggest to people out of the many AVNs I've played.

Do what you can and the updates come when they are ready. Yes some games are fast, other slow as hell. It all depends on the the dev and content. Adding music or animation takes more time than just a basic game. You are also doing two at one time unlike devs that do one at a time. You do it your way and take care of things you need to.

Hay Fire, have a question for you, if I remember in the past you told me that your games are to high in detail to run on steam. This would be a lot of messing around for you, but I was thinking, if you went back through Serenity 1 and lowered the detail level so it could run on steam, and then for the one's that buy it there you could make a free DLC pack to go with the game for the steam player to be able do download on steam to replace all the picture and video files with the standed high detail stuff. Would this work?? Because if it did you could get on to the steam marketr that way. I do hope it's a yes and that this could really help you.

Uh no... I never said that. The graphics used in my game is created using software that doesn't allow us to "sell" our game. Therefore we cannot put it on Steam at all. Any games where graphics are made with any IllusionSoft software (HoneySelect, HoneySelect2, AI Shoujo, KK, etc... Many games use this, to name a few - Eternum (HS2), Ripples (HS1), Pale Carnations (HS1). Oppai Odyssey (HS2) and many more. That is why you see us mostly on Patreon.

It is a shame and definitely steams loss, seeing I think your games and the other last four games you mentioned are the best Visual Novel games I have ever played, not just the details, the graphics levels, but the depth of the stories in the games, there next level compared to all other games I've played, as well as a hell of a lot of movies. Stay strong Fire, your fan's have your back, if you have to get a part time job down the line, do it, we will still be here cheering for you.

If this is true, then maybe you might want to look into investing in such software that will allow you to post on Steam. Then you would join such games as Sunshine Love and Melody (as long as you avoid the incest, which I know you do).

I think you meant this message for fire, I’m not a game developer, I only help fire as well as a bunch of his friends, as well as other game dev’s with spelling and grammar check’s when I play there game updates. Games such as, Eternum, Ripples, Pale Carnation, Oppai Odyssey, A house in the Rift, as well as other games like, Monster girl Tavern, Echoes of Greed, Driftborne, Harem Hotel, Lust Academy season 1-4, Being a DIK, as well as many other games. Yet my help is only fan support, I do it to help make the games better for everyone and because I want to help the dev’s. So…. I think your message was sent to me by mistake. Anyway have a good week, as well as I believe Fire will like your advise and thank you for it.
