Hey, a conversation cropped up on reddit about my opinion of president trump claiming that I'm a "big fan". I can assure all of you that I pay so little attention to any form of politics that I'm not a fan of anyone. The only time I encounter any amount of info is when people are raging about it on social media so I tend to steer clear!

Here's the reddit thread in question: https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/comments/eg4fkv/my_take_on_miniacs_the_duchess/fc4ya71?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x

Wow, reddit just being reddit. I don’t get people anymore.

Anonymous

Yeah, I love the stuff you do for the hobby. I hope this doesn't affect you much, it shouldn't. Thanks for everything you do and all the work you put into your content man!

Anonymous

Really weird for that dude.

Anonymous

Ignore it man. Dont say anything. Keep being you. Internet / media trolls give up after a couple weeks anyway to go and devour someone else.

Anonymous

Well it must have disappeared because I am not seeing it anymore. I wouldn't worry about it. You do a ton for the hobby and I enjoy your show because you don't bring politics into it. Keep up the great work.

TimberWolf

I dont care about your politics, just about the thickness of your paint!

Gary_#23

Lol wut. Don't ever let reddit posters get to you. Thats some real brainlet tier bullshit.

Anonymous

What a moron. I wouldn't have noticed the comment if you hadn't brought it up but it's nice to see that you nipped that one in the bud real quick! Happy new year to you!

Bester

I'm from UK and one of reasons I like your content is because you focus on the hobby and make it non political, you are doing a good job. 👍

Dude, I'm more of a Goofy fan, but if you like the pantsless duck, live your best life

Reddit can be really great or total cancer. I promise you the bigger you get the worse this will get. Good on you for addressing this and moving on. You're awesome and I really value what you have to offer. Keep on keeping on man!

Since nobody else seems to be saying it, I’d like to point out that being able to not pay attention to politics puts you in a very privileged space. For a lot of people, including me, politics in the US is the difference between life and death and whether we can keep and expand our civil rights. I’m not trying to blame you or anyone, but shine some light on something you may not have thought about before. There are a lot of communities of folks in this country with experiences you or I don’t share that need us to exercise empathy and stand with them in solidarity to fight for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I really like your content and you seem like a good person to me. It may be worth looking into, especially with the looming 2020 election with so much hanging in the balance.

My only real response to the thread, to quote Mark Cuban, is "LOL!" Honestly, unless you start painting minis of kids in cages (except in the context of Drukhari because I could totally see that kink being part of their thing), even as an enlisted ember of the USAF, I really don't care which way you swing. I'm here to improve my capacity to PAINT MORE MINIS! I do, however, appreciate your notifying us of idiot threads at large, and I'm sorry you have to deal with something so trite that you have to fear a reaction from your patrons. All the best in the new year, Scott, and I look forward to the skits you're still editing for us.

Love your stuff just as is, don’t change nuffink mate! If world leaders sat down to a creative hobby and messed around with cameras and stuff, politics would improve no end!

I wouldn't worry what a handful of people think of you. Focus on the things you're good at, and please keep doing what your doing. Ignore the trolls, they aren't worth it.
