I have checked the 2 cards I purchased in the last month from a store in Melbourne and they are both affected by the recall.

I have 6 cards and fortunately none of these cards are affected...Greetings from Germany, Enno

I only had one of these cards. Now on its way back to Sony.

Hi, I have one card affected - rang Sony Support on 1300 137 669 who verified the card was replaceable by a card with the same specs - then received an email from Sony with Austpost postage label to return the card - awaiting the replacement card. Very prompt service.

Thanks for posting Mark, both of my Tough cards are affected. Just got off the phone with support. Waiting for a label now.

Anne Marie Leone

I am thankful for that as I have a trip coming up.

It’s great to have cards you can trust but I also backup when I am away on trips. Have you heard of the 3, 2, 1 rule for photographers? 3 copies of every file you value on 2 different media and 1 stored remotely. This can be simply uploading your hero files to the Cloud if you access to WiFi.

Anne Marie Leone

Yes, when I travel I carry a portable ssd drive in a Nexto di NPS-10 that lets me back up remotely without power. Usually upload to my ipad pro until I get home to back up on home network drive. The cloud thing I have to find a good solution. I don’t always reformat sd cards right away. I just got these tough ones for my trip on my motorcycle figuring they would be best for travel.

Mark Galer

I travel with enough cards so this is one of my copies. I have only experienced data errors twice in the last 8 years of using Sony Memory Cards and both times the images were recoverable using the program called diskdrill on my computer.

Thanks for this Mark, I have one recalled card ; (
