• My first video tutorial to reach 1 Million views on YouTube is how to make an animated GIF file in Photoshop. Most of the down votes come from people who are upset that I appear to be pronouncing GIF incorrectly (with a soft 'J' instead of a hard 'G). One could assume that I am pronouncing GIF incorrectly as it is an acronym for 'Graphics Interchange Format'. The creator (Steve Wilhite), however, pronounced the acronym as if it is a word, and therefore should have a soft G as it is followed by the vowel 'I' - Steve said it should be pronounced as JIF, like the Peanut butter. As GIF has now made an entry into the dictionary it appears Steve got his wish. You can check my accuracy on this one by going to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GIF). This does not, however, stop people from trying to correct me every three or four days since I created the video five years ago :-( Oh how I wished I had thought to mention this in the short video.
