Analog copy work (Patreon)
Content
I have recently constructed a stand to copy my 35mm film from my analog days (the first 20 years of my photographic career). I am currently using Sony's FE 50mm F2.8 Macro lens. I have included 3 photos of its construction using three pieces of timber and some cardboard to hold the transparency mount in place.
The first image was captured using Kodak TriX in 1980. I had spent 6 weeks photographing the lives of coal miners in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales as my final photography project at University.
The second image was captured 7 years later in Varanasi India on the banks of the Ganges river as I was working my way overland from the UK to Australia.
The third image was captured in 1990 in Siberia on the Trans-Siberian Railway as I worked my way overland from China to Europe where I would embark on a career of photography education.
The fourth image was captured of my daughter in 1999 with my father, towards the end of my days of shooting with film.
