This is a test shoot for my forthcoming road trip (the one I outlined in the recent vlogging seminar). It was to check camera settings, the wrist mounted remote and the smoothness of using a helmet mounted camera. Unfortunately Sony have discontinued their FDR-X3000 Action camera but you may find it in a store that has old stock. Make sure you also have the waterproof housing and wrist-mounted remote in any kit your purchase. The unit can be adapted to work with GoPro mounting kits for helmets, handlebars etc.

Movie Settings
This test clip was captured in 4K 30fps with Active SteadyShot On. Exposure Compensation set to -0.3 and Creative Look set to Vivid.

Balanced Optical SteadyShot (B.O.S.S)
Sony have stabilised the lens instead of the sensor with what Sony call Balanced Optical SteadyShot - it's like having a Gimbal inside the camera.
