This 2.5-hour extended seminar provides advice for photographers wanting to travel very light (no checked luggage). It looks at planning the trip, advice to help pack down to only the essentials, choice of lightweight camera gear, advice for creative image capture and narrative building (story-telling) and the post-production workflows required to ensure all images are safely backed up after editing and sharing.
It's a very long seminar so you may want to watch this over three or more viewings. It may raise more questions and I am more than happy to expand on any of the information covered in this seminar in the monthly Q&A forum.
In one section of the seminar I outline the Lightroom workflow using a tablet to backup the images to the cloud and to an external drive while travelling. It also looks at exporting images from Lightroom to the 'camera roll' / Pictures on the tablet and then from the tablet to Social Media. I created another video to support this workflow by recording the view from my iPad while undertaking this workflow in 'real time'.
