I have just returned from a short location shoot in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria (about an hour's drive out of Melbourne's city centre).

After capturing the hero landscape shot (at the 70mm focal length) I then spent an hour or two capturing close-up details, in and around the forest and gardens, using the excellent close-focusing distance and magnification ratio of the FE 20-70 F4 G lens at the 70mm focal length. As far as I am aware this is the best performing lens for shooting close-up images (that is not specifically a Macro lens) with a magnification ratio of 0.39x.

The images were captured after some heavy rain so the wet conditions add some depth to the colours and tone and some interest via the water droplets on the leaves and flowers.
