This lens will be of most interest to Sony Alpha photographers who are drawn to Sony's compact Full-Frame cameras (A7C, A7C II and A7CR). It covers the focal lengths of all four of Sony's compact full-frame lenses in one zoom (FE 24mm F2.8 G, FE 35mm F2.8 ZA, FE 40mm F2.5 G and FE 50mm F2.5 G). It is a fully-featured lens that has a wide F2.8 aperture. I have found it to be a very sharp lens at all focal lengths with fast AF performance.

You don't need to take my word for it as I have uploaded an album of Ultra-HD images captured with this lens to my Flickr pro account and have made the Raw files available to my Premium and Premium Plus Patrons.

Sony FE 24-50 2.8 G Lens Review

Sony FE 24-50 2.8 G Lens Review Sony's Compact F2.8 Premium Quality Standard Zoom Lens. This lens may be most interesting to owners of one of Sony's compact full-frame cameras such as the A7C, A7CII or A7CR. Its small format factor, sharp focus, fast AF and bokeh may make this lens more appealing than carrying three or four F2.8 compact primes or three larger F1.8 primes. 00:00 Intro 02:58 Lens Specifications 06.59 AF Speed, Bokeh and Sharpness 11.00 Weight & Handling 12:36 Downsizing the Zoom / 24-50 or 28-75? 14:39 Four in the bag or One in the Hand 18:23 Overcome the 50mm Zoom Limitation 23:45 Close-Focusing Capability 27:05 Walkabout: One Camera, One Lens 31:09 Concluding remarks Album of Ultra High-Definition Images: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBdVcj Purchase from B&H New York: https://bhpho.to/3Iau73n Mark Galer is a Sony Alpha Ambassador for Australia.
