Thanks! Yeah I never understood the appeal to Happy Tree Friends either. For me, like Mr. Pickles and 85% of Family Guy, it just comes off as cheap, cruel, shock value with no thought, purpose, or respect for the viewer. And my father and I thoroughly enjoyed Regular Show when I was twelve, and appreciated it's unique creativity and wit. My father was rather fond of the dialogue and 80's references, and identified with the scenarios that Mordecai and Rigby got themselves into when he was their age. I never was a huge fan of the two main characters either, but they seemed to always get their comeuppance in the end. I suppose it spoke to me because I was at the age where I was able to pickup on all of the mature references and jokes. But during the third season, there was an episode that was essentially the perfect recipe to piss off 12-year-old me, so I sort of called it quits after that. Anyway, thanks again. Always nice to here your thoughts on these.
