God I wish I remembered all of the funny things we said doing this episode but one thing I guarantee is that we talked about lottery guys, it was funny, and it got posted on time

Woot!

Jack

all time intro

Wes

Damn, Queeber was a really nasty child

daniel

Wait, Chris....you don't watch any cartoons? Not even the likes of Akira, Watership Down, Grave of the Fireflies, or Perfect Blue?!?!

Al

Hmm, no interest in a Kirk Cameron episode, lol

Daniel Stern

Fast Five did not come out in 2008, Queeber (and also it's a masterpiece)

Victor

Thanks for the 10 minutes on giant dookies while my spouse was using the sink as I showered

The Writers Room

and also I loved Akira. Just watched it actually

Jared Walker

Y’all should actually have Hasan on an episode

sulkyboy

you're welcome

Chapo Bath House

As someone who lives in Vancouver, I am completely on Bryan's side re: pee/poo freedom I've got Medical Problems and an hour long commute, and I will go to jail to not piss my pants on my way home from work. LEGALIZE PEE AND OR POO

Mickey Flykick

Day 1 Superman watcher gang. James Gunn gets what’s good about comics. Colourful, goofy shit.

daniel

Gotta watch Satoshi Kon's films. Aaronofsky took a lot of scenes from Perfect Blue for Black Swan (and while making it owned the rights to remaking perfect blue) and his series Paranoia Agent is a great mindfuck. I'm sure you'll love his stuff since you liked Akira.

Not to mention how much of an improvement it would be for unhoused people. Idk how it is in Canada, but in the US unhoused folks don’t have anything remotely close to consistent access to a toilet - in no small part thanks to the increasing number of “customer only” bathrooms. Hell there are apps where businesses are selling access to bathrooms for like $1/minute. Making bathrooms readily accessible is a more significant thing than a lot of people ever have to consider.

Chapo Bath House

Vancouver in particular has a huge housing crisis. Basically the reason why businesses have closed down customer washrooms is to stop homeless people from using them and/or overdosing in them. It's such a fucked up situation all around, because I do understand the underpaid teenage and foreign workers at our fast food places shouldn't have to be deputized as part of a mental health emergency response team. I also can't think of a better example of we are all dehumanized and how we have to buy the right to have basic biological functions

ChigBungus

Exactly - even the remotely valid arguments against open public restrooms like the one you mentioned, are also a reflection of the same evil system. In a remotely sane and compassionate society the very idea that someone wouldn’t have a roof over their head would be abhorrent, let alone folks being so dehumanized that they don’t have access to something as fundamental as a bathroom. I see lots of folks complain about seeing unhoused people going to the bathroom in public - it’s always the same folks who staunchly argue against public bathrooms or providing people with housing. Shit is bleak AF

Rex Sharpe

Was the Street Fight show at the Vogue? I don’t think the Hi Fi has existed that long and they definitely never had Van Halen there.

Luke B

Motor toilet

Nate Bridges

Opening flub was unbelievable

syd

Bryan is right about bathrooms. The city near me does not have any public bathrooms anymore, if you need to use the restroom you need to go into a bar or restaurant, but the owners of those establishments have obviously gotten sick of being used as public restrooms so now you HAVE to buy something to use a toilet. This is something you are made especially aware of if you have some kind of medical issue

dum surfer

Unpopular opinion but Greg Dean is hands-down the best Guy you've ever found. I love (hate) him so much

Skulk Hogan

Twice in the last month I've had to buy a beer to take a shit.

Neil Harris

I'm a large Midwest dude that likes to eat and I have an American Standard Champion and they do live up to hype.

Neil Harris

Is this no public bathroom trend an anti-homeless person thing?

Will Young

Was halfway here to defend my weed habit but then I think Chris imagined a guy like me on my way to the comments and backpedaled a bit so now I'm just saying this instead

Layton ONeil

For real if you like Suicide Squad you should check out Creature Commandos

billy (NEAS Top 0.1%)

Re-training the seven coal miners who learned how to code to do crowd work would be a solid Trillbilly bit

LPO Crane Jefferson

Love the new guys direction in 2025. I just imagine every body talking over eachother

dablatney

Competitive eating contestants don't digest competition food, they throw it up right after

JerryStreet

Bryan hiding behind his goons who assaulted his classmates is less evil than thinking the new dogshit Superman will be any good.

Mmi42069

Bryan needs a garbage disposal not a toilet.

borninxixax

Love Bryan's joy at the American Standard Champion ad

Beckett

Get ready for the joy of parenthood

Beckett

Separately, Wolfwalkers and The Secret of Kells are really good.

daniel

Exactly! And Wallace and Gromit and Anamolisa and a bunch of others. He talks about being a cinema guy and totally writes of an entire medium. Wild.

syd

Probably, it's also because of overdoses (which is often related I suppose.) Instead of opening a safe injection site they've decided to go with "no one gets to pee anymore."

Biscuit

How was Brian paying for daycare

1lamb1month

Kirk Cameron Satan Guys tier

Wanted: Last summer my friend and I watched Wanted together, while drinking whiskey and reading all the subtitles in a Chinese accent. One of the best experiences of my life.
