Oh hell yeah Gwen rules

Longbox Heroes

The flub formatting of this post, SMDH

Jack Beckmann

"You can see her on the hot wife tier, it's my daughter" off to a great start

The Writers Room

How do you manage to find new ways to flub the posts?

Blank

Wrestlers call themselves workers bc they sell their labor for a wage and do not own the means of production

Tommy

Pic paste flub

FA

Formatting flub and intro flub, you're spoiling us bryan

Perry

Bryan had to go through a Queeber detox before becoming a nice guy

T

Wrestlers need to go on strike and demand higher wages (2 hotdogs and 2 handshakes)

Blank

If they can hold kayfabe they can hold a picket line

terminal_cool

organically, you guys have recreated the afternoon show with the three archetypes on-mic this episode. gwen is a great addition

Kyle Myers

Bryan revealing that he doesn't really like wrestling at the end of the episode akin to him revealing he doesn't know what the word "cheap" means in the cheap guys episode. Phenomenal

Boot Scoots Riley

Unsanctioned Pro puts on monthly indy shows in Columbus at Ace of Cups. Could definitely see Bryan managing someone there

Boot Scoots Riley

Queeber leading the stable violence gang LLC that has swinger parties after the show and the other wrestlers talk shit about Bryan plugging up the toilets

Jeremy Smith

Bryan is right! The type of 'stories' a wrestling writer is going to come up with will always suck. Wrestling feuds should be about money, titles, or a personal issue like 'we were a tag team that broke up'. Once it goes beyond that i am living in fear of someone else walking into the room when the show is on.

Bryan probably won't read this so Chris can you please let Bryan know that prostate exams have been determined to be mostly useless and he doesn't need to be getting them and talking about them so often?

Jacob (In Dripping Letters)

Someone artistically inclined needs to do an illustration of Queeber creeping on and talking to Bryan like it's Venom.

Ged Sperber

I didn't even start the episode and that IS a terrific start.

J Wick

I was floored when Bryan said his favorite wrestler ever was Kevin Nash. Fucking Diesel-era Nash, too! What the hell.

Robert Aitken

yup. wrestling “stories” don’t need to be complicated (generally better if they aren’t!). it should be on the wrestlers and other people involved to make us care (and care meaning want to see them beat the shit out of eachother)

Robert Aitken

that’s why they call him The Innovator of Flubbance

Matt Cain

Violence Gang represent

Jacob K

If nfl games don’t have stories they get moved to an earlier non-prime time time slot because nobody cares about them. If they have stories they get moved to prime time like this week’s Vikings/lions

Leem

I agree with Bryan’s point at the end. Wrestlemania 40 night 2 conclusion with a series of unconvincing cameo appearances from stars to do one move is one of the worst I’ve felt watching wrestling, and it was one of the best nights of people’s lives

Leem

Start by pretending it’s a sport and then add fantastical elements to the plot that a real sport wouldn’t be able to. That’s what I want to see and i concede im firmly in the minority

Ethan Cheng

Nash is one of the only big name old wrestlers who speaks about it with a grounded context and doesn’t do carny mythmaking. He talks about his career like he’s a normal guy who spent some time in a weird, dangerous niche of the entertainment industry, just trying to save up money and not get hurt. It’s refreshing.

Kikuchiyo

Bryan is spittin about wrestling at the end. That's why NJPW is for the real heads. The match is the story!

Ross McWilliams

On the last free episode of Guys Chris said 'moojority' instead of 'Majority'.

Robert Aitken

and sells merchandise inspired by Vince McMahon’s horrific sex crimes

V Ingram

Blue Jackets catching strays this ep

Tom

We need a territory wrestling guys episode. I think Chris would really enjoy it.

wormbrained

gwen is easily in the top 3 guests on guys. what a legend

BizarreManatees

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the reason a Football game like Cowboys vs 49ers or some shit don't need a story is because the match is inherently a contest? Two teams play and the better team prevails because they played better. In Wrestling, the match is predetermined, its inherently NOT an actual contest so why does it matter who moves "up or down" in the rankings? They aren't actually competing, so why do "the rankings" matter, why would the outcome matter beyond fake rankings? I'm not really a Wrestling person (its fun to watch, but I've just never been that into it) but thats why the stories matter, because then the outcome affects the progression of that storyline and its continuing development, rather than "You see how Steve Punchman's doing this season? He's number 3 right now! Guess the producers decided he would win more times and be number 3 this year!" That doesn't seem particularly interesting. All the wrestling I've ever seen was fun cause it was like an Anime or something, like one-time I think I saw John Cena wrestle what seemed to be implyed to be almost a "shadow version" of himself who was like, a Swamp Warlock or something, it was fuckin sweet
