Thanks

Tobias

Would love more video episodes of Holy Boyz!

Murder X Bryan

We should do that. I’ll set something up with Tom, maybe we can do a Holy Boyz Sunday night stream

JKL

Thanks, this is great! Whatever old stuff you can post in audio would be great. I need some kind of master checklist to find everything Bryan’s done!

That Ed Young episode you mentioned was an all timer for psychic damage

Thanks for sharing. I had a family member in this for a couple years. They did go through the multi day boot camp

I’ll look around. One of these days I have to just build the collections

there is an extremist straight edge sub cultre that is called hardline. its biocentric, and adherents are anti-abortion, militantly vegan, for animal righgs, anti-drugs, etc. that anti abortion lady from awhile back who was found to have a few fetuses in her freezer was part of that scene. and to bring it back to ska guys (and as a christian ska guy who grew up in so cal), the singer of christian ska group five iron frenzy started a church called scum of the earth. its a pro abortion lgbt accepting anarchist church that a lot of crusty punks went to in seattle when their little hole in the wall was still open. the band was very liberal for a christian band and always sang about the horrible shit america has done. if possible, could you re upload the others? i'm a little late to the game, and i'd love to hear them.

daniel

and tie it in with christian ska guys!

daniel

please do!

As someone who is used to the fire/brimstone/guilt/damnation flavour of christianity, quite impressed by the story of Five Iron Frenzy and the aforementioned singer. good on them

daniel

yeah. they have a song about manifest destiny used in native displacement and how it has affected other areas in modern life. that the use of god can be extremely abusive. truthfully, their music felt like it came from a cool youth pastor but in a way that wasn't smug like these losers. just the facts. most of my high school christian ska friends are pretty progressive christian libs now due to that band. the singer/lyricist's evolution was kinda affirming in a way. like despite the disgusting reactionary music, there was a band that was actively trying to go against the norm. they knew what christianity could/should be. a few members are even athiests now. i was never a fan, but i am happy they had such a good lasting influence.
