quick question, what's the studio size and set up (acoustic treatment) I'd be interested to know how much you work on Headphones.

I just moved into my studio so I don't have treatment, yet. But It's a big room about 16' deep, 12 feet tall, and 6 feet wide! Will need lot's of treatment haha. I use my headphones all the time right now until I get monitors, and then I'll use the monitors 90% of the time and last 10% for mixing and mastering :)

Why do you put a limiter on the kick, is it to bring up the volume without having to increase the level or is it to tame it so it doesnt sound so boomy?

To tame the peaks and bring up the overall volume a bit :)
