Hello Friends

I have just completed two halves of a whole image.

Here we are in Bergman Knightley, a place people seem to love and we are seeing a very caring department mistress letting one eager recruit down gently.

So Robert seemed so willing to join her staff, but will he wait that extra year?

What do you think?

Trust me , the wait will be worth it.

Maybe too young to work, but she could take this one as an apprentice.

I am sure he would put the employee discount to good use.

Maybe She is just being a responsible department mistress, paying due regard to safeguarding issues and jealously guarding B&K’s good name? And if it means that, when he reapplies for the position next year, young Robert will be all the more eager to please, well that will just be a happy side effect, won’t it? 😈

"Did I do OK, Ms Davies?" asked Robert after he'd changed back into his street clothes. "Yes, you tested beautifully, you look amazing and so pretty. I would love to have you on my staff." "Gosh! Thanks, Ms Davies." "But you are just a little too young. I'm sorry Robert, maybe next year." "No! That's so unfair!" protested a petulant Robert, his bottom lip quivering. "I promised Auntie that I'd do my best." "And you did, Robert. But Bergman and Knightley policy is that all our Saturday Girls are over seventeen. You have to be able to deal with customers. Some can be very demanding." "But, I'm nearly seventeen, Ms Davies...." "Robert, sixteen and two months is not 'nearly seventeen'." "Isn't there something I could do? I would like to work here. I could really do with a job." "You need a job? Why do you need a job, Robert?" "Well I can't keep borrowing Auntie's make-up. It's OK when I visit her, but not if I'm at home or visiting my boyfriend. And I'd really like to buy a pair of heels. Auntie thinks I'm ready for a pair." "I see. Well we could do with someone to make the tea and keep the storeroom tidy. Our last Tea Girl went off to Uni and we haven't yet found a replacement. Would you like that, Robert?" "Oh yes, Ms Davies." "It doesn't pay much, I'm afraid. Only about four pounds sixty an hour, but it would be start. And I think we might be able to throw in some complimentary make-up. Although you wouldn't be in B&K uniform, I'm sure you'd prefer to be wearing lipstick and some foundation if you're going to be around our other staff members. Would that be OK?" "Definitely. Oh, thank you Ms Davies. Thank you so much. Can I start next weekend, Ms Davies? Please Ms Davies." "Yes, Robert, you may. And Robert?" "Yes, Ms Davies?" "From next Saturday, it will be Mistress Davies." "Certainly, Mistress Davies. I can't wait to tell Auntie." --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope this fits. There’s no maybe about it. Robert and B&K are made for one another. Skinnie idea is brilliant. I can just see Robert bringing out a cup of tea to Andy after a busy Saturday morning on the sales floor. Of course Mistress Davies will scold Robert for slipping out of the back rooms but will quickly forgive.

I just adore this new part of the Andyverse and desperately hope that we will be popping into B&K MUCH more often in future … 🥰

Thank you Emily, I did not know if these would reach an audience and I am delighted to have been proved wrong XX
