Hello Friends

Here is a preview of a new piece of my art and we find ourself stepping back in time to when Aunt Jane would let Andy step from boy to girl and back again.

I think Aunt Jane is giving her beloved nephew a glimpse of his future, but there is more to this than you might image.

Come on folks, there's always a twist.........isn't there?

He really didn't want to go but Jane had been persuasive. They'd agreed a deal that morning: afternoon tea at her friend Catherine's and going to see 'The Imitation Game' tomorrow. She said she needed to discuss Parish matters. He didn't think it was much of a trade since he thought his Aunt would want to see Benedict Cumberbatch in any case. He'd argued that he needed to see the film because that he really wanted to find out more about Enigma machines although he expected Jane knew there might be other reasons. It had been a long drive to Catherine's. She wasn't quite the matron of the Shires that he'd expected. She had a brooding, sultry presence that Andy found disconcerting. At least that was how he tried to explain his need to rearrange his clothing at times while they chatted. It wasn't helped by sitting next to his Aunt on the sofa. Why had she chosen to wear one of her shortest leather mini-skirts and tailored biker jackets on a warm summer's day? She knew what it did to him. Catherine also seemed to have similar tastes in heels to his Aunt. That didn't help either. Sadly the appearance of Catherine and Jane was all he had to focus on although he tried to distract himself by gazing round the room and looking at the chintz furnishings. Sadly his eyes were always drawn back to Catherine and, if he looked down, his Aunt's smooth crossed legs and the hem of her tight black skirt. After the initial pleasantries, he hadn't been able to engage with any of the conversation though Catherine did say that he might like to meet Cindy later and they could chat in her room. But there was no sign of Cindy. Apparently she was preparing tea. He fidgeted on the sofa and kept glancing at the clocking ticking on the mantelpiece while the ladies talked interminably about church matters and how the Parishes ought to cooperate more. Suggestions about joint services were dismissed because the distance between the Parishes was too great. There were proposals about curate swaps and maybe exchange visits. It was all very, very boring. Eventually the clock struck three and Catherine said that it was time for tea. She suggested that they might sit in the garden for it. Andy's heart shrank. Outdoor tea meant sun and wasps. She proposed that they went through to the kitchen to see how Cindy's preparations were getting on. At the time Andy did not notice Catherine hang back. It was his Aunt who guided him into the kitchen. It was almost as if she wanted to see something. And then there was Cindy ...... ----------------------------- I have little doubt that I have missed the twist..... and the rumba, the cha-cha-cha, and even the hokey-cokey though no doubt I've put my foot in it. Anyway, enjoy. Love the image. S xxx

Wow it is a beautiful glimpse in every detail. Tonight there’ll be a ladies gathering and they need a few to serve the tea and cake.

"Just look Andy, isn't he wonderful. I'm going now but so looking forward to you being my very own maid when I come back to pick you up after your training"

Loving this image, especially Jane in her gorgeous leathers. So full of authority in her biker jacket , short tight leather skirt and heels.

As luck would have it, they seem the same size. How fortuitous. Maybe Andy can visit Cindy again? She is cute and could teach him a few lessons. But are they lessons he would want at this early stage

I feel the ghost of Summer's future has come for Andy in the form of Aunt Jane, that could possibly be Andy's and Will's adopted daughter because the woman in the background could possibly be Andy in the future. Or this could be Aunt Jane's way is showing Andy that it's perfectly fine being the person he is by showing Charlotte in the same outfit that Andy's in and cleaning.

Maybe there is a theatre group at his school, or in town.
