amazing! when you add in your colour layers, do you use any layer effects? and are you switching from colour layers behind the sketch to painting layers above the sketch later on?

Hi Ling, yes exactly! I do have my layers behind the sketch, they are usually in normal mode but I occasionally will use different modes (for example in this video I use a different mode layer to make the hair darker but keep the shading). And yes, I do paint above the lineart after I am happy with the base colour, this gives me more freedom and the process ends up being a lot more like a traditional painting. Working like this I achieve more dimension on the final illustration. I hope this answers your questions!
