This episode is the one where a couple people that the boys aren't expecting to see pop up all of a sudden. One of them is a bad guy on purpose and another one is a bad guy by accident. Also, I have some issues with the monsters in this one.

Great discussion. Believe me, every single one of the technical points re the monsters has been raised by the fandom especially, to much amusement, Dean playing join the dots with absolutely no reason to choose one blood splatter over another. However, in the end, I think Sam’s solution worked. He took an intuitive leap - they’re shadow monsters, so get rid of the shadows. They don’t need to be told everything. There was a risk of his solution not working, but fortunately it did. The things that raise endless rows are all the relationship bits, and who is right and who is wrong. A large part of the fandom have no time for their dad, and think he’s an SOB. but we all agree it’s heartbreaking and the acting’s great. Roshawn, you think Sam is more popular than Dean? Where do you get that from? I’ve never heard that.

How can you not like Sam that much? I mean notto say that I don't like Dean, but Sam's just so sweet and hurt and didn't ask for any of this. And I just want to give him a hug😢
