This fantastic illustration of Louella McCoy is by @thehungergamescollector on Instagram and you can see it here! https://www.instagram.com/p/DIT9N9LJ4y9/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

These chapters are the ones where we lose a tribute early, and RoShawn and I talk about how Panem's version of Bread & Circuses doesn't quite line up with how things are supposed to work.

This version of The Hanging Tree is done by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and is sung by Andrea Lykke Oehlenschlæger & Diluckshan Jeyaratnam. You can watch the video here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrxwS3jukf8

Fun Fact: In German "Angler" litterally means "fisherman" so that name is accidentally even more on the nose for people speaking German😅. Also I don't think RoShawn clocked that the small boy that Max is picking up and protecting from the cameras (in Haymitch's memories) was Finnick. So you might wan't to mention that to her... It isn't actually important to the story (and I don't think it is even brought up again in the book) but I think it still is a really nice little bit of flavor text🤷‍♂️🙂

It actually isn't Finnick that Mags is comforting because Haymitch is saying that he saw it in the past and Finnick wasn't born yet, he's 24 in Catching Fire
