These chapters are packed, but one of my favorite things that happens is the soul gaze with Lara simply because it's in stark contrast to Harry and Murph's relationship. When a reference to Patrick Nagel was made earlier in the book I almost used one of his illustrations for the episode art, but then found this one and decided to wait because it's so appropriate. I've seen plenty of people sharing Nagel art in various fandom spaces, but I'm surprised I haven't seen this one! You can see more here: https://www.muddycolors.com/2020/11/artist-of-the-month-patrick-nagel/

Thank you all so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Y'all...I have a theory: I haven't listened to ALL of the Unspoiled coverage of the books, and I'm not active on Discord, so I'm guessing the idea has been discussed at length elsewhere... I think Lara Wraith fell in love with Harry at the end of White Knight. She kisses him to lend him the energy to create a shield saving both of their lives. She doesn't experience the love-burn until after they've landed inside House Wraith and she starts struggling to pull herself off of him. She starts the conversation following the burn with an air of respect and deference, until Harry cuts her with his words, turning her tone to angry contempt. ...she IS a master manipulator, but I think she genuinely has a thing for Harry.

Marshall: why tf did the Brotherhood not kick those guys out? It’s just like police, you can’t just reassign them. Me: well if you think about it it’s kind of like wartime, sometimes you gotta be a bit more flexible to survive the crisis. Marshall: Yeah, they probably should just kill them. Me: ….touché.

“Before the vending machine gives you your chips, you gotta bang that bitch like 5 times.” Roshawn is a genuine poet. She could pull out a nice anthology from podcast quotes.
