Thank you very much to Vicky for commissioning this episode!

These chapters are the ones where we have a hostage standoff until Roic steps in and does his low-key badass thing and saves the day. Then we have to get the rest of the bad guys gathered up and Jin is starting to get pretty worried about what's going to happen to him, his sister, and his mom.

Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

General Tacticus

Coming in a little late, but as far as I can tell no-one's posted the answer here or on the Discord - the creepy quote about about the doors of hell is from the Epic of Gilgamesh (which has the distinction of being the oldest known surviving work of literature in the world). The goddess Ishtar is demanding that her father lend her the Bill of Heaven to take her revenge on Gilgamesh for insulting her, and her father is reluctant. So she threatens that if he doesn't, she'll do what's in the quote. This proves sufficient to get her way, and she gets the Bull of Heaven and sets it on Gilgamesh. (It fails to kill him, but it does (indirectly) cause the death of his BFF Enkidu, which then causes basically everything that happens in the tale afterwards.)
