is it a thing elsewhere that guys often just have like. folding knives in their pockets casually or no........ either way he brought the knife with this exact intention in mind he isnt a knife boy lol

I know it's not exactly common knowledge, but don't cut the pad of the finger! Cut to the side of a nail! The skin is a lot thinner so it's easier, and it's not usually used to grab things so it heals faster and less painfully, and it's less sensitive anyway so the initial cut is less painful too! [Sigh] Nobody knows how to do proper blood magic any more... which now that I'm saying it out loud, it sounds sinister as all get out. Ah well, realistically he wouldn't have any reason to know that, so it's realistic, I just need to gripe about it whenever I see it.
