Aww. We're just jumping right back into Always Sunny? I thought we were doing polls to determine what we watch next after finishing a season of a show that won a poll😅🤦‍♂️. If there's a misunderstanding and there's going to be a poll I'd like to recommend The Good Place because that show is THAT show (and it has some semblance of a realistic chance in a poll vs anything else I'd suggest)

Man, I love this show. I know we're a ways off, but I can't wait for you to get to the later seasons. Would you believe things get even MORE bleak?

Already crying in season 1!? Ohhh this will be an interesting ride 😂. And I’ll be here for it! it’s the general consensus that each season from here on out is significantly better (which I also agree with). This show hit me hard as someone who has BPD (managed now). A lot of people speculate that’s what he has. So a lot of his thoughts and feelings are definitely something I relate to, for better or worse. Loved the post commentary as well! Glad to hear you’re doing better now than years past ❤️

As someone who’s suffered from depression most of my life I really love this show but it’s not the best one to put on when you’re feeling down. It’s also one of the few shows I don’t like to binge and I can wait a while before revisiting the next season but I hope it won’t take you too long to come back to it.

I suffered from depression for several years, and I feel very much like you about this show. Bojack is so incredibly human (which I always find funny as he's a horse) and Bojack is so relatable despite being pretty awful. I also feel similarly about Fleabag!

i'm not usually one to comment but solidarity and all that! soo.... here goes part of what inspired me to share is there's actually some parallels between my experience and yours, at least chronologically. from my preteens until several years ago i wasn't doing so great to say the least. however whereas you held off on watching BoJack until you were in a better place (happy to hear it! luck or no, it's worth being proud of!) i'd binged the whole thing while i was in the thick of it - i guess it was around the time the final season was coming out so it was showing up on the homepage more. honestly it was very cathartic for me! at a time when i was making a concerted effort to better express and advocate for myself, here comes this show that's so effortlessly able to articulate these abstract, invisible sorts of hurt. that feeling you mentioned of "they just said it" i found very empowering. so i'm glad i didn't wait, i definitely watched it at the right time for me. but everyone's different! and i'm glad you ended up watching it at the right (or at least a better) time for you! and if you don't think it's a good idea to watch seasons back to back i'd trust that instinct. take care of yourself! and uhh. always believe in yourself. i'll probably never comment again! goodbye!!

Just so you know, my name is Jeff Abbott and I have had the worst life ever with my son being kidnapped and just constant abuse trying to get my money _ You're awesome tho

it's a bird, it's a plane, It's Daniel M. A-gain.

I may have already said this, but here's my thing with Bojack. (Do ya get it? It was a reference to the show? Herb Kazzaz said he doesnt like that phrase, did you get it?) As a person whose dealt with some mental health struggles, and also studied it and now is in the field to a degree, everybody's different, and ever day is different. For some people sad music makes them feel better, it makes them realize my problems aren't so bad, or that someone else is going through something similar to me. For some people sad music just makes them sad. For some people happy music makes them happy, its uplifting, puts them in the mood to work out or dance, or whatever. For some people it's the opposite, the happy song makes them think: how come I'm not that happy? How come I don't want to dance or party? Why don't I look at my partner and know that everything is all right? Is there something wrong with me? And even more so, sometimes it's a just a matter of the day and time, when something like a song or a show can be helpful or hurtful to us. Bojack might be just what you need on some days, and the worst thing for you on other days. So as much as I love the show and think it's phenomenal, it's a weird thing to see reactions to it, because it does cause such intense reactions, for the better and/or for the worse. So please, from my perspective atleast, when you are in the place for it, go for it, and when you aren't in the mood for it, stay away. Feel free to take a break. If you want to do one episode at a time instead of two, or ff you just want to randomly watch episodes here and there, that fine with me. Bojack can be your best friend if you let him, but he can also be your enemy.

Thanks for sharing your struggles in the end of the Video. Glad you currently feel better! I have struggled with mental health in the past few years. Watched Bojack for the first time a few years back at a time I was doing good and liked it. I watched it more for it's funny sketches/one liners rather than the depth of the characters - did not pay to much attention I guess. Then a few years later I was in a bad place and remembered the show as a funny show I liked and started a re watch. It hit me like a bus. While media usually doesn't get to me to much emotionally, I had to stop watching it after a while because it got to bad. Just felt even more like shit than I already did. Currently I'm doing better and watching it alongside your videos, I had a similar experience as you described; knowing that a lot of things in the show would have (or rather did) affect me in a whole other way a while back. A really nice thing about the show is, that it helps me to categorize my emotions whenever I feel bad. Do I mostly enjoy the show -> I just have a rough few weeks, nothing to bad. Am I feeling even worse? -> I'm likely in a depressive episode again.

I'll say it again, you need to watch The Good Place as a counterweight to this show which can drag your soul down.

Thanks for the reaction Ana. This is also my first time watching this entire season so I am experiencing it with you. I am sorry to hear about your past depression. For most of my life I was always an optimistic person and never experienced depression. However that changed a few years ago, so I understand how this show can hit you.
