Brad Pitt gives a fantastic performance; that's very obvious. Bruce Willis ditto. Madeline Stowe's performance is every bit as good, but it took me a while to appreciate it given how her character has quite a bit more subtlety (compared to the other two, at least). It's not in my top tier of favorite movies, or among my most watched, as I prefer stuff that's a bit more light, or fun... but it's so damn good.

Discussing, err.. arguing about the time loop amongst friends when this came out… too much time. To me Terry Gilliam’s best magic trick is not throwing you out of the movie no matter how weird it gets. They feel like a dream that while you’re in it everything makes sense, confusion yup, wtf moments sure thing, getting more drawn in you bet but never have they woke me up. Although Time Bandits is one of the first 3 movies I remember seeing when I was little and parts of that movie was in my dreams for a long time so that could explain it.

Ugh. Really? One of my fun suggestions only lost by one vote. My long overdueness to get a win in the monthly movie poll continues to get even longer and more overdue. Darn these circumstances that only allow one movie to win😅🤦‍♂️

I think I threw this out there as part of 3 or 4 Bruce Willis movies a month or two back. Didn't even realize it was still in play. I hadn't watched this in so long and so much of it had gotten tangled up in the TV show in my head. That was a true treat to watch again. Excellent reaction.

SO... 1 - no, that's not how we pronounce "advertisement". British people say things funny 2 - for such a dark and depressing movie, it's pretty damn funny. "I'm a crazy person, I'm supposed to act out" is a good one, but I still think the "Jeffrey, I know that's you. I recognize your voice." "No you don't" is the best exchange in the movie Although the "...a fucking crazy dentist" was pretty funny too. 3 - The music is SO GOOD. Really just spot-on for the movie, off-balance and kooky and unsettling...
