Her having the doll was so accurate . I use to work in a nursing home and one of the ladies with dementia had a doll she carried around everywhere she called it her son. Her son was still alive and visited her everyday, but she held onto that doll. (On Holly Hawk not understanding how terrible Bojack's mother was.) It's easy to look in from the outside and see an adult child and an elderly parent that is no longer physically or mentally able and blame the adult child, calling them selfish and telling them "get over it, that's your mother." Maybe so but just because someone shares your DNA doesn't mean you owe them anything, especially someone that abused you throughout your childhood. I think Bojack took it too far in a few scenes, at the same time I do understand. Sometimes it's hard for people who grew up with nice parents to ever imagine that someone else may have had the exact opposite experience, thus it seems cold hearted when the adult child doesn't show much empathy towards their now incapacitated parent....

Who's Henrietta? Oh, just you wait and see. It'll blow your mind (while you wipe away the tears in the process).

I love Diane's ringtones. It's interesting how a show about a talking horse addresses gun violence, abusive parents, generational trauma, and the hypocrisy of celebrities pretending to take a stand on an issue but really want to profit from it (and how people fall for it), but also gives us: "How would you enjoy joining Portnoy for a scorched soy porterhouse pork four-courser at Koi?"
