I agree, a perfect pilot. I think I'd've chosen Newsradio as the best sitcom of all-time prior to Community and Arrested Development. But I don't imagine we're going react to it unless I choose it every month, and I've got too many others I want to hit first, so I figured just the pilot to set the tone, then my favorite ep. There are maybe others with a better A plot than s04e04, but I just love Macho Business Donkey Wrestler. "But Jimmy has fancy plans, and pants to match."

You absolutely should watch this whole show-it's fantastic! One of my all time favorites from back in the day. And most episodes are very character-driven. It's a fairly silly but quick, well written sitcom. And I like that you mentioned Maura-I had such a crush on her for the longest time because of this show!

Yes, "fancy plans and pants to match" is a phrase that's stuck in my head for the last 25 years because of that episode. Any time I think about having fancy clothes I think of that phrase! "I have fancy plans and pants to match" Great suggestion!
