The cast really makes this movie. Getting George Carlin, who was not just a brilliant comedian but also an outspoken critic of religion, to play the cardinal was a great choice. If you’ve never seen his stand-up routines, you really should. That would actually make for good reactions if you ever wanted to do something short. A lot of his work is on YouTube including one of his most famous bits on religion from his 1999 special “You Are All Diseased”.

I will definitely check it out!

I would encourage checking out "The Office" in all its different international versions: Starting with the OG "Office" from the UK with Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman. That, I think, is only 4 series. Then, when you're able to REALLY clear your schedule, check out the nine seasons of the US "Office" with Steve Carrell and John Krazinski. And, yes, it's intentionally supposed to elicit both laughter and uncomfortable cringing all at once. Both the UK and US versions do that as well.

I used to have a Buddy Christ statuette glued to my dashboard.

Glad you've watched "Dogma"; the only movie I know where the director himself protested the movie. Seriously, go on YouTube and look up "Kevin Smith protests 'Dogma' in New Jersey" to see a news clip where a TV news correspondent interviews Kevin Smith posing as a protester wearing a sandwich-board sign decrying "Dogma"; and the correspondent hasn't a clue who they're interviewing!
