Will this be the month with the highest number of movies in the history of this Patreon? It is yet to be seen... *wink**

Thanks for reacting to this Ana. I knew you liked zombie movies and I wanted you to see the movie that started the modern zombie genre. The director, George Romero, is considered to be the Godfather of zombies. He created the rules about killing them with shots to the head, them being fairly slow and uncoordinated, bites killing people, etc... He also has them having some primitive tool skills like a primate. Bashing things with a rock for example. In the original trilogy people that died for any reason, not just zombie bites, turned into one. Some other directors made it only be bites in their movies, but that deviates from the original concept. So do fast zombies that run like track stars but don't get me started on that. He also started the tradition of in any good zombie film the real bad guys are other humans. It is a common theme in all his zombie movies.

Btw this was done on a very limited budget. Color film was around then but black and white was cheaper. I think it works in this case. The other two movies in the original trilogy are more modern and in color. There is also a remake of this set in 1990. So a bit more modern, and the women have much stronger roles in the story.
