That tension between Annie and Jeff is so well executed, but the tension between Britta and Chang is what will haunt me all night.

This season is brilliant. e04 is widely mentioned as a standout ep, but I prefer e05 to it, and 14, 17, and 20 are in the discussion as the best 3 eps of the show, IMO. Easily. Plus 8, 9, and 16? Oh, I can't wait!

John Goodman is NBC, really telling Harmon, not the dean what to do, while the dean really talks to the audience, not to the group.

In case you don't know, the weirdness that followed Jeff getting gassed in the air vents (first episode) was a reference to the equally weird ending of "2001: A Space Odyssey"

That would mean that Harmon was telling the audience that he is now going to buckle down be more serious and be more like other shows, while NBC was telling Harmon that he should have kept ignoring them and not tried to bother being a "real" dean/regular show.
