Movie time!!!!

I hope you all know how much I love you, I picked the ultimate cut for this reaction.

Ana, I hate to tell you this, but it's been cut off after an hour! - EDIT: The file seems fine, it's just the Dropbox preview which cuts it off after an hour.

Ana Colli

Nooooo, oh god. I'll fix it tomorrow, it just might be too big

Will

I think it's just too big for the preview! I'm downloading the file to play locally, but it's quite a big file!

TheNeonRabbit

Oh yikes. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll wait for the complete version.

Will

I downloaded the 8GB file and that has the whole thing. It's just the Dropbox preview which cuts it off after 1 hour.

TheNeonRabbit

The actual Doomsday clock is currently at 100 Seconds to Midnight

"What happened to the American dream? It came true. You're looking at it" This movie gives me chills, start to finish. I don't even think of it as a DC superhero movie. It's in a league by itself. Some people don't like that it's different from the comic book but I just don't care. Kubrick's "The Shining" varies quite a bit from the original book but it's perfect as is.

That whole animated part with the zombie sailors was left out of the theatrical release, for the better I thought. It was distracting and added nothing to further the primary plot. Longer movie doesn't equal better movie.

Topher 🤪

If I'd remembered about the longer version I'd have recommended the theatrical version. Glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorite films. As always wonderful seeing it through your eyes. Thank you.

How do we get past the hour mark? Edit: I figured out how! I knew there was a way without downloading, it's to log into Dropbox. Then you can watch the entire movie streaming through the link.

Ana Colli

I think the file's too heavy and you have to download it

ivan

You gotta log into Dropbox; then you can stream the whole movie.

Will

What's the story with you finding The Sound Of Silence so funny? 😀

Will

I've finally got to the end of your reaction. 🤣 You really have to watch the HBO limited series, which is set in 2019 in the same alternate reality as the movie. A reaction would be cool, but you must at least watch it as it is really good. It's only 9 episodes! Jeremy Irons plays Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias.
