What is amazing is that this episode was storyboarded, directed and animation directed by only one dude, Hakuyu Go. That why the artstyle is different than usual and the direction is so unusually cinematic and well done. Apparently this was Go's favourite chapter of the manga, so they decided to give him this episode as a solo project. I love when you can tell how passionate the staff is about the source material.

I thought the style seemed a little different but couldn't nail if it was just because we watched something else before this lol
