About the names for the admirals, Kizaru = yellow monkey, Aokiji = blue pheasant, Akainu = red dog. It's also a little reference Oda made to the japanese folklore of Momotaro, a story where a boy was going to fight against ogres, and along the way he was followed and helped by a dog, a monkey and a pheasant. Oda loves folklore and also real world historical facts, so he uses it a LOT in the OP story, you guys will see a lot more from it.

bro if i was a marine in that fight with a sword and a gun, and just saw they guy we are fighting against make two fucking tsunamis by punching the air and then a guy made of pure light got kicked into the ground by a dud that could transform into an immortal phoenix and then some dude yeets an iceberg at you and then a guy blows it up by turning into lava and then it starts raining meteors and a guy just blows one out like a candle and then a giant who is like 3-4 times the size or normal giants whos up, i would be like "i aint getting paid enough for this shit I'm going home" im with Helmeppo on this one
