Kurri

PEAKMAN ISLAND??

SonnchenXYZ

the blue-haired mermaid for sure <3

soulieproud

For me this Sanji plot point is great, because it's so unusual and realistic considering shit that hes been through for 2 years, actually hella dope

soulieproud

For me it's the black haired one all the way by the way, she fiiiiiiiine

Paldrun

Robin in swimsuit? Not sure but kinda yes.

DubwoolWooloo

Blue haired mernaid is my fav! Yeah, the Sanji joke is a bit overplayed, but it is a great set up for especially this arc!

Echoes_III

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it many times again, sanji in fishman island is my void century, my nothing happened, my sogeking true identity. But you guys gotta tolerate him

Pedro Lobo

The Princess is not on the ride, they said Princes's... It was saying that the ride belong to the princes (male ones).

Blue hair is my favorite too. Something about the droopy eye look gets me

a little explanation about the five little mermaids names so the first one is called Ichika, and ichi means one second one is Nika (💀) the Ni is two third one is Sanka and San is three fourth one is Yonka and Yon is four, and the fifth one should've been named Goka but for some reason it's Yonka two 😭😭 it's probably a gotcha moment for Oda, since Japanese ppl will probably predict her name but decided to go for a troll + i think this would've been way funnier if "Ku" was used instead of "Ka" so thatOda can't call Yonka two Goku for copyright reasons 🤣

Mrs.Portgas

to answer your question about Robin in a swimsuit, no, i don't remember her wearing a swimsuit in the story, but Oda have drawn her and Nami and others in bikins in other official arts, i don't suggest searching it on your own though since you might get spoiled 🤣 but there are figures of Robin in swimsuit, sooo

Jacob Maguire

robin does wear a swimsuit at some point, technically

I'm still a huge Sanji fan after these jokes, but I also always enjoyed characters who aren't perfect or overpowered, which is why Coby and Usopp were my first favorites at the start, until Sanji came into the scene. XD And, my favorite mermaid was the one who held Sanji so close. She was fiiiine~

I miss Mr.Prince-Sanji. That guy was cool and charming, with a kind and gentle side. Personally, that Sanji moment is one of the worst points of OP for me. I know a few people (online and real-life) for whom this ruined Sanji as a character for a loong time, and I can't blame them. Like, every good character trait is gone and his worst aspects are so exagerrated and repeated that it gets absurd.

Not gonna lie first time through I was getting pretty pissed off. Feel like it was funny first couple times and then got really old really quickly. On the rewatch I'm doing with y'all now it doesn't bother me maybe because I know how everything ends up. And personal fave mermaid is the one that caused the issue with Sanji in the first place.

Learning Japanese now and pretty happy that I caught the joke on my rewatch. Def went over my head first time through

Eli Gamarra

For your question about Robin, yes and more if you include movies and Openings. There’s also a lot of good outfits from some of the filler arcs and pre-time skip movies

I don't mind Sanji's nosebleed much. It's very much old school shonen humour. Plus, with the benefit of rewatch, it's really not that bad. I think one of reason it annoys many people is that the Fishmen Island arc has many small frustrating elements to it--especially on a first watch. And so, the rest of the arc kind of puts the ridiculousness of Sanji's nosebleed drama into an even more negative light. Another reason is that Sanji, as part of the "Monster Trio" gets a lot less satisfying fights than Luffy or Zorro. Against Mr. 2, he almost lost because he was simping for Nami too hard. In Eneis Lobby, he fought noddle man and lost to soap lady. On Thriller Bark, he had spend too long getting beaten up by an invisible pervert. It gets annoying for people who want to see Sanji acts cool and don't like him being a meme half the time. Though, I personally think it's pointless to expect the same level of coolness as Zorro, whose entire focus is on fighting and being a badass swordsman, or Luffy who's the MC. If anything, I find it amusing that Sanji can stay on that level while dedicating so much time and energy to cooking and being a simping meme. Again, this is all just my opinion.

Of the top of my mind, revealing outfits aside, the only episodes I can remember where Robin might wear a genuine swimsuit are the pre-timeskip Spa Island mini-arc episodes (382-384).

What they gonna do for Sanji in the live action here? He just gonna be rock hard the whole time?

SomeoneElse

A lot of people hate Sanji's gag here but I love it. Turning a gag into a real plot point is hilarious to me

Cely

now that ur past fishman arc ill put my explanation for the Sanji plot point here. it makes sense for sanji but the reality to the nose bleed is a way for some one important to us needing blood with out making us look weak. after the time skip you need the crew to look strong so u can explain how they defeat enemies in the new world but make the enemies weak and get progressivly stronger. The blood transfusion is the main thing here. it shows the level of racism and prejudice that exists in the fishman culture as a result of humans even to regular citizens. making sanji have a nosebleed is better than one of our crew getting hurt in a fight because you would immediately think that crewmember didnt train enough over the 2 year skip and look down on them as weak. its a silly comedy gag for sanji to have a nosebleed but it leads into a very serious discussion on fishman culture which is the important thing. people that get dissapointed with sanji here arent seeing the bigger picture of the story. yes the gag runs old quick but its not about the nosebleed gag from this point on.

Rh is a blood type factor that is present within other blood types.. I think only 15% are Rh negative

13:32 Actually, the first thing I noticed here is how tiny those little mermaids are. Do all mermaids start out that little? That's adorable. 18:45 Honestly? I can't blame him. It's the All Boob! I men Blue. 23:17 👀 .... appropriate silence 31:27 OMG that fountain. Well, at least it was a red one... And I can't believe it either. Usually it's Luffy who gets us into trouble due to his silly antics.
