Just some genuine Christmas curiosity!

There's two types of players:

The Fapper: Usually skips dialogue or skims. Occasionally gets into something enough to do both, but most often they play the games for a good old fashioned fap. Dislikes slow burn games.

The Story Enjoyer: Enjoys the story, gameplay, and/or dialogue above all else. Rarely skips dialogue. Might fap occasionally, but for the most part is just playing the games for fun.

So... which one are you?

The story is great. It gets tough because, I'm trying to be the good guy. As tempted as I was, I tried to resist the sexualness with the sisters. Now, the others that's a different story lol

Honestly I got into these games for fapping, but after finding out so many of these games have great stories to tell, I'm much more of a story enjoyer now. I really can't play these kinds of games without a decent story now.

For me it's both. The key to me is the inclusion of a gallery mode or repeatable sex scenes. Majority of the time I am playing for the story and gameplay, but if I just want to go in for a fap it's nice to have the option just to rewatch a scene or engage in a sex scene with a character. The key is choice and player agency. That all being said we are playing GAMES so gameplay is king, if I just want a fap I will watch porn, so story and gameplay will always be important to the medium these games are in.

@Zyrus Because even though it's a game. I try and immerse myself in the game. Everyone plays games differently. I could easily go through and try and have sex with them all. I just like to how how in depth the game goes with its various options.

Definitely about the story. Why adult novels then? I prefer the adult nature of the stories. Mature situations with real life aspects. Certainly, I appreciate the sexual attraction of the 3D models. A lot of time and attention goes into the visuals. And that is equally as important as the story.

I replay it to see which decision leads to what. Well written story. Really. But also outstanding graphics.

As much as I play these sorts of games for fapping, the story HAS to be decent. I’ll refuse to keep playing if there is no good story or its riddled with errors. That being said, my favourite games of this type have heartfelt stories. This and Leap of Faith are my current favourites both in the antics that happen and the how I’m feeling at the end of each release

I can't speak for Kris, but some people like to have a very immersive roleplaying type of experience. And so the decision making is handled according to the role they want to play.

I love it when the story brings out the the little things in the characters. Even the smallest of taboos can be huge. A secret shared between F & D, being the boyfriend to the insecure D, and whatever else may arise as the story progresses, that adds to the overall heat of the situation to make a momentous scene.

Here's the thing... a lot of the stories are really stupid. Some times because they are attempting comedy or satire... but more often because the author wants to tell some grand tale and gets bogged down in the convoluted mess that was in their head while shoehorning in sexy scenes. Then there are games with coherent stories and when I find something compelling I can handle the slow burn. I love Light of My Life, and that game is sloooooow. But the corruption storyline is wonderful. Radiant is a bit slow, but the characters (even though they are archetypical) feel real because of the writing and the choices make sense. So I read it and enjoy... on my way to the fap.

I'm just waiting for that inexplicable moment when Bruce Willis appears as an AVN protagonist. Just a matter of time now at the rate we're going x) All joking aside, I completely agree lol. I've never been too interested in the "epic" action fantasy type games we often see in the industry. For me, it's all about relationships, characters, and the lewd! A good story is just icing on the cake.

For what I remember story seems OK, though I have forgotten most of it by now. I hope update soon, otherwise why bother supporting it. I was kind of hoping update by Christmas. For me excitement is pretty much dead by now. Half a year without anything is just too long.

I love a great story with emotional connections that result in relationships that grow with the story. The best lewd scenes have an emotional context and further the relationship. I understand that many stories will have some early lewd scenes to demonstrate the quality of the animations and renders, but those mean less to me than adult intimacy in adult relationships that grow and deepen with time, even when those scenes may not start to appear until I get further into the story where the world and relationships are better defined and have greater meaning.
