Hello again everyone! This poll is a long time coming...

Now that players have had the chance to play the game for a while and experience the "thematic paths" that are offered, I'm very curious to hear which are the most & least popular, and why!

Before voting: keep in mind that this question is specifically related to which path you prefer MOST: meaning if you like Lust & Pure, but the majority of choices you've made are "Pure," you should choose Pure below!

Important note about paths in Radiant: I've said this before, but I think it's appropriate to explain it again. While it is indeed possible to stick almost entirely to 1 of 3 paths, this is not recommended unless you're doing it purely for story or narrative reasons. In other words, if you are just curious to see what happens if you only ever make "Pure" choices, you're welcome to play that way! 

That said... the way I recommend playing the game for the greatest mixture of story & content is to simply make the choices that you want to make, or that feel right in the context of the situation! This game is designed to be flexible, and players will never be "punished" for not having maximum points in any of the three paths.

Purity: "Freedom from immorality or contamination."

The "Pure" MC is a true romantic: he's always thinking deeply about others, with little regard for himself. This means he puts the feelings of his lovers above his own desire for sexual gratification or release, and will sometimes pass on certain "sexual encounters" if he doesn't feel the girl in question is ready or willing.

Lust: "A strong or passionate desire; usually sexual."

The "Lust" MC is more morally gray: he cares about others and is a generally good person; he just cares a wee bit more about getting some ass. This means he will sometimes disregard the feelings of others for the sake of sexual gratification or release, and will rarely pass up the opportunity to have sex.

Darkness: "Wickedness, immorality or corruption."

The "Dark" MC is psychologically unstable, quick to anger, and completely sexually depraved... often to a point that is sadistic. While he tries to do right some of the time... he will more often show a complete disregard for the feelings of others, especially for the sake of his own sexual gratification, release, or amusement.

I am for sure riding that lust train, but I was kind of surprised to see that I made many choices that aligned with the pure path in chapter 4.

I have a "true" playthrough where lust has a narrow lead. I also have a bunch of playthroughs that purely follow other paths to see how things play out. In total 5 playthroughs I think.

Darkness is where its at, i hope O and A gets more involved in "playing" with M in the future. Also interested in where the Brooke dark patch will go

tbh. even tho this might be a crazy take, I liked the Darkness path because its actually insanly heavy. Its very rare to actually get this hands on in this kinda game. I appreciate it.

Generally speaking, in any game I play the middle route (if there is one), and the harem path. If after a year or so I find myself wanting to come back to the game, I will go back and check out the other routes even if they aren't my cup of tea, because what the hell I paid for them.

I'm mostly going along the Lust path with Liv and Allie, but the Dark path with Madison. Jade's Dark path is the most interesting and can't wait to explore more of that

Because the other two are everywhere, and it is much rarer, I far prefer the dark path.

I was trying to keep as much along the border between Pure and Lust as I could, so I was a little puzzled as to how Maddie got two Darkness along the way. (and sometimes it seems as though, if I try to keep from indulging passions, that just hurts the girls, and as I don't want to hurt them...)

I prefer Lust cuz it feels the more natural when you go for a Harem. I add a touch of Pure cuz there must be love and respect! I will try the Dark path for the story later tho.

As a dark path player, I am disappointed you've decided to make it a 'selfish, evil' path instead of a dominant no-nonsense masculine path by the description. I had honestly thought you had a better grasp of a controlling personality. I'm still going to vote for it, in the hopes you course correct, because as it is, it's going to be a minority path.

Setting aside the generalized description given above... the dark path is designed to be flexible, in the sense that you will not be forced off of said path if you decide not to go through with something. So, using the Maddie scene in Ch4 for our example, this was clearly more sadomasochist-leaning content that isn't necessarily for disciplinarian or "strict/dominant" players. ← This is why players are given the option to opt-out, twice, even at the last minute and "forgive her." To me, waking her up but then forgiving her seemed like the logical dominant, but no-nonsense choice. Those who prefer dominance/disciplinarian will indeed have content of their own, it just won't always happen at the same time as sadist content and vice versa.
